CavArms makes them.  You can choose black, tan or green.  I believe that they are a site sponsor, too.

My plain jane.... Bushmaster 20" CL 1/9, it was an HBAR but after the ban died I had it turned down to the A2 profile, threaded it and added the A2 FH. Someday I'll add a bayonet lug.

I have a 1/7 barrel in the mail, FINALLY, and I'll have an A4 clone started the end of the week!.

Lancelot and Meatgrinder:

You bastages!!!!!!! Gov't profiled A2s, I'm so jealous.  HBARs are too heavy

Furthermore Lancelot:

Oh, a 1/7 Gov't profile.  Must be nice to live in a world where everyday is your birthday.

Just funning you guys, really sharp looking rifles.

Here's to the both of you

A pic of mine.  Bushy LEO A2 HBAR w/ Surefire 6Z pressed into weapon-mounted service.  Z32 bezels are in according to Brightflashlights and mines on the way.  BTW, office floor at work, not in my house-Thank GOD.

Hey man... that's no carbine on W the snowman.... that be a 1:7 twist gubermint profile Bushmaster.

Snowman had an extra stubby stock sitting around at the time but now that has been replaced with an LMT. Might be that the short stock gives it an overall shorter appearance, I guess.

Here is s another pic:

It's nothing fancy... just a standard 20" flattop with collapsible stock so the kids can shoot it.

Edited to add a more updated pic of the same rifle.  Now with T168 and MIAD.

I am loving some of the 20 inchers. It is only a shame they made the A2 stock too long. The A1 length was correct for me. I know I can put an A1 stock on, but they are shiner and don't match the plastic texture. I guess I am into the LMT/Crane stock now, but I still actually like the fixed stock and I was not even motivated to buy/want a collapsible until the ban made me want one. When I bought my first AR in 1988 or 89, I got a 20 inch A2 and I could have had any model back then.

Now I like flat-tops and shorter stocks and thinner barrels and front rails but I now like 18-20 inch barrels after a long period of liking NFA barrels.

20" is my prefered length. Nice to see that not everyone falls for the ballistically challenged carbines.

So buy a brand new A1 length stock from Cav Arms. Or just buy a surplus one and hit it with flat black krylon like I did. (Guess I need some pics)

I agree. This stock actually matches much better than it appears in the pic.

Garage built "mutt" with various RRA and DPMS parts, an Eagle Arms lower, a Cavalry Arms C1 stock and a Bushmaster govt. profile 1/9 twist barrel. Just a simple, general purpose AR.
