I have a Colt upper with C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR marking on the barrel. It is a pre-ban type (pre-94) large hole with A2 flash hider- gray in color. Can anyone tell me for certain if this barrel is chrome lined. I was under the assumption that Colt chrome lined all of their later barrels, but I don't like to assume- Thanks

from what I've gathered the cut off is '97 for non leo hbars

yours should be fully chrome lined  call colt with serial # to be sure

I just have the upper, but I saw the lower when I traded, it was a colt match but I didn't get the #

Doh! i guess you wouldnt have the ser# then would you?

the large hole upper (.315?) dates it to aprox '94 so it would be chrome lined

Yes, it has a chromed barrel and chamber.
