Get the Colt.

The Colt has a higher probability of surviving high volumes of rapid fire without failure.

I could sit here and write an entire essay of why Colt is in fact superior to other AR's, but I will just summarize with the fact that Bushmaster can't even properly stake on a gas key - yet they claim some sort of parity with Colt. Have you ever seen a Colt stake job?

That is just a small, tiny factor out of dozens that shows the difference.

I'll just leave it at that. As soon as Bushmaster can reach their next developmental and engineering milestone and can achieve a proper key staking, then we can move on to discussing the other more important areas where Bushmaster is deficient.

I own a Bushmaster, but I think the Colt is probably a little bit better, but maybe not enough to warrant the extra $$$. It's a hard call.

All of my Bushy carrier keys have been properly staked.

Colt, just because you can.

Everyone wants a colt, no matter how much they bash the company.

Because FN Herstal does not sell to civvies, the Only fully proofed, made from the Gov't TDP option is Colt, at the moment.

I love my Bushys and Olys and DPMS rifles, but If I could have only one....it would be the Colt.

+1

I have never had a failure of any kind with my Bushmaster M4A3 16".

I had a Bushmaster Policeman's carbine with M-4 profile barrel in 16". It took 3 times back to the factory before they would change the barrel to correct a windage problem. I got rid of it and bought an LE6920 and have been very satisfied right out of the box. At the time I bought the Bushmaster, it was a question of price. I guess you get what you pay for!
