I did a search and couldn't find more than 4 threads with dissy's.  I'm in the process of building one and would like to see yours.

Yea, I know, you guys are saying "crap....another pic thread?!...."  hanks

Who's using a collapsible stock on theirs? My M4Dissy seems nose heavy when I have attached it, but admittedly didn't put a loaded mag in it. What's the current opinion of collapsible stocks on full handguard models?

Why is it that Bushy doesn't put a FH on its post ban dissy?  Leave it up to the buyer?

Kind of the same reason I want it to get "stickfied".  Seems like Dissys get little respect compared to the latest trend rifle config.  hats

It would not be a post ban if it had a FH.  Post ban's either have to have a permanently attached brake or no FH.  But if live in one of the free states, you are free to have it threaded and attach a FH.

She's pretty good, but I think she prefers the bayonet!   "Larger potential wound cavity" I believe she said.

I had to search for this today.  I'm a 3 days away from seeing mine.  It's half hour away sitting in a warehouse and I'm not going to see it until Monday night.  I hate UPS!

+1on some great looking dissys.  I like the simplistic approach most people have.

Posted this one a few times before, but here goes again.
DPMS upper
YHM Forearm
YHM Rail front sight
ARMS 40L rear
Has Leupold QRW rings on and a Bushnell Trophy optic, but that's because the next part is saving up for the LaRue and Leupold. I'd like a Magpul buttstock as well, but that also will have to wait in line.

How do you like the DPMS Upper for that?  Any problems?  Don't they use a different gas system?  I have a Bushy Dissy, but in a week or so I am thinking of getting a DPMS Complete Upper for a build.

Most have a mid length I believe. Some have full length, but you have to open up the gas port hole for that. (I think that's what you do)

Bushmaster sells an AR model called a "Dissipator" - it has a 16" barrel but rifle-length handguards & the FSB in the "rifle" position for the longer sight radius, etc.

www.bushmaster.com/shopping/weapons/pcwa2s16d.asp

"Dissy" has come to be used (correctly or not) as a generic term for any AR with a 16" barrel and a rifle-length HG set-up, Bushmaster or not, as pictured throughout this thread.

Here's my take on the Dissy:

RRA Upper, Lower, 6 position Stock
Bushy 16" HBAR
DD M4 12.0 Rails
ARMS #40
PRI Flip-up Front Sight
GG&G Sling Mount
TD Heat Shields
ACOG TA31F
Eventually I'll put a Phantom on the bad end.

ETA: Now with Phantom
