Bought a very slightly used Bushmaster A2 20" HBAR for $700. I'm so stoked!
It was a F2F sale made in a parking lot long after dark between two complete strangers.
I can't find a single mark on the buffer. The original owner says he put around 400 rounds through her.
Not sure, but it looks like a lot less than that.

Ofcourse I have to keep her hidden for a while. Mrs. HS1 would flip out if she knew I dropped the cash on another one! Since they all look the same, she didn't notice it lying next to the desk when she surprised me by coming home from work two hours early!

For $700, I got the following:

Bushmaster 20" HBAR A2 1/9 5.56 NATO
300 rounds of new Wolf ammo
3 USGI 30 round mags-2 with green followers and 1 with a Magpul follower
Used Bayonet
BM Hard Carry Case.

This upper will go for sale on the EE as I have plans for an A3 upper with 20" Gov.profile Bushmaster 1/9 barrel. I'm 'gonna keep the B/C/CH and the A2 Lower.

Don't you just love a parking lot deal for a firearm late at night between two strangers?

Huh. BTDT, almost. Last summer I traded a case of .308 Indian ammo for a case of Budweiser, in a parking lot at night, with a cop.  I got the Budweiser, BTW.

Sounds like highway robbery, if you ask me.   If you figure the ammo at $30; the mags at $30 and the bayonet at $30 (all of which I think are fair prices, at least), you snagged a great rifle for a little over six bills!

That has to qualify as theft in some jurisdiction!!

Congratulations.  I hope to be as lucky one day.

Maybe I'll keep the barrel and have ADCO re-profile it for me. Does ADCO re-profile?
The A3 upper is a must have for me. Now if the IRS would hurry up with my return, I can get
the ACOG i've been drooling over.

Yep, I stole her!

instead of a reprofile, you could get it fluted, that would lighten it up and look really awsome.

Checked with ADCO. Re-Profile, parkerize and upper swap, $118 shipped.

I'm on it! I'll have the A2 Upper Receiver for sale sometime this month.

Don't you have to fill out paperwork and stuff to transfer guns?  I have only ever bought guns new from the gun store and he phoned in my License number and all that jazz to the sheriff.

On a side note, i would be kind of weary if some stranger came up to me in a dark parking lot and asked me if i wanted to buy a gun.  If that happened to me, I would get pinned for murder.

Had I bought the rifle from the gun store, I would of had to fill out paperwork.
In Florida, person to person sales of legal firearms are legal. As long as the buyer and seller are
legally able to own such firearms and the firearm being sold isn't stolen.

I found this deal on another board and arrangements were made. Never seen the kid before in my life.
He wasn't even 21. Nice guy though.

No worries.

Clean cut college kid needing to sell his rifle to fund his continued debauchery.
