Thanks _DR

This should come in handy. One friendly suggestion, remove all the duplicate pictures. One good picture of each different lower\roll mark is plenty and would greatly help with the download time

Thanks for the suggestions, I always appreciate input. I will review and see if I can take out any obvious duplicates.

I had to hit refresh twice to get them all to load. I think I may change the images to links so that even dial up users can see tham.

BTW thanks very much, your images were some of the highest resolution, and hard to find ones out there!

edited to add: Now linked so they load only when you select the specific image

For a picture of the reciever from Colt's M4 Commando Enhanced (RO738) go here

Here is another picture of what is most likely a Colt RO701.

Here is a picture of an Colt A2 style S-1-F carbine with an "M16A2" rollstamp (from factory).

Here is a picture of a Colt LMG lower (rollmarked A2), note the fact that its only two position, these guns were only set up for safe and full auto (marked here simply as fire).  These guns are S-F.

Absolutely, anything that isn't in the list, or if it is significantly higher resolution or clearer - some of the images I had to use are very bad - like the FN M16A4 - abysmal - but it's all I could find. The Goal is to eventually have clear pics of every AR15 and M16 variant ever made.

M2 Corp/MMC slabside lower, right side, unfortunately I haven't seen a clear picture of their rollstamps on the left.

Some Diemaco photos can be found here.  Don't know if they'd be useful, since while they're clear, they're small.

More Colt "Model 01" pictures at the top here

7.62x39mm Lightweight Sporter

SR-47 reciever pics at the bottom here, but they're kind of blurry.

New images added to list 2/10/2005:

Z-M Weapons LR300
Olympic Arms OA98
Olympic Arms OA96
Special Weapons AR47
La France Specialties M16K

still need images of:

Les Baer receiver, left side.
Armstech Commando
Rocky Mountain Patriot Pistol
Bushmaster Carbon-15
Leitner-Wise left side
Barrett M468 Lower

better images of all the fuzzy ones...

And probably a bunch more I don't know about yet...

LAR has a new one, it says CAL MULTI on it. Saw that recently. I'm sure someone can post a pic of it.

Also CMMG has one: see CMMGINC in industry forums

You know that with all the lower receiver examples offered here, there are others as well.
The Colt LE models shown here are also available with Colt Defense markings. This difference, albeit subtle, goes to show the incredible number of variations that have been offered over the years.
So when someones says AR15 (or M16) lower, it could mean one of literally dozens of possibilities.

very, very,

Just send me an email when you get a new batch of pix.

Got about 10 more including the above more I need to format will be sending tonite, some good ones too. It just keeps growing and growing!

Do you think it's pushing it to add some DR200 and AR180/AR18 pics? They are sort of AR15 related in a way aren't they... I have some good pics of those receiver markings.

Still looking for:

Les Baer
Armstech Commando
Rocky Mountain Patriot Pistol

Working on it now, as well as barrel stampings, and bolt/carrier rollmarks.

For right now, biggerhammer.net has a pretty good one in their AR15 FAQ.

I'm not sure about the list, but I think you missed one. I have a Restricted Military\Government Law Enforcement\Export use only rifle. My rifle was once the property of the State Police in Washington.

It is marked "AR-15" over "MATCH HBAR" over "CAL. .223" over "SER. LMH 0014--"
It's a full pre-ban style A2 rifle with 1/7 HBAR barrel.  The magazine that came with it is dated 3 - 98.  I can post a picture if needed.
