Any significant difference in the quality of these 2 barrels? Same materials, same mfg process, same QC?

Beats me... I think LMT uses Wilson blanks, I think Colt makes their own.

FWIW: My Colt's and my LMT's shoot pretty much the same groups. I've been pretty pleased with LMT.

I've owned and shot both Colt's and LMT's. Hell if I can see a difference. Both are top of line barrels.

From the way I read it the company making the blanks and the details of the chroming process (Denny's #4 above) are the only differences and that both end products seem to be of like quality. Thanks for the great info.
