Original thread here
This is NOT a group buy. This is just to see if there is enough interest so we can try to push Giffman a little to place the order. Just to clarify, this is for a blue or burgundy Eagle Industries DC-CAR-15. Chime in with what color you want. |
I would be in for two. One burg, one blue.
Do these come silk screened or are we to find our own means? Thank you. |
TAG
I would have to look into silk screening options before I could say whether or not I could get them silk screening. Giff |
I'm in too. Blue, red, green whatever. As long as it is sized to fit a 16 inch CAR/6920 with optics.
I'm in for sure. Red or Blue would be most neutral. Green is still too obvious in my opinion.
True, although I was thinking hunter green which isn't quite so "tactical." With an Adidas or Nike logo in white though, any non-military color will look like a tennis racket bag though. |

+1 for Blue or Burgundy
Just a thought but, would it be possible to get the mag pouches sewn in the ouside pouch. That has been my only gripe with the Black version I currently use. Not as big a fan of the pouches rubbing against the weapon being stored. Blitz |
Personally, I don't even care about screening. |
i would like blue but would buy one in either color and a big +1 on the mag pouches on the out side pocket.

The mag pouches in the outside pocket does sound like a really good idea.
Guys, this is just a simple order of a standard case in a non-standard color.
I'm sure Eagle would be happy to make their Discreet Case with mag pouches on the outside of the case (even though it wouldn't be "discreet") if you want to put together an order of 500 or so. Prepaid, of course. In the mean time, let's stick to just the colors. |

Very good point on the quantities needed for design mods. But, what everyone is talking about, is putting the mag pouches INSIDE the smaller pocket as opposed to in the main pocket against the weapon. Kinda like Blackhawk does on their Discreet Weapons cases. |

Any modifications to the design of the case would require a much larger minimum order than 25 and would cause the price to go up dramatically.
I'll have additional information on how this might be able to go over this coming week. Giff

Just a running total:
Red: 2 Gray: 4 Blue: 7 Undecided/Don't care/Didn't say: 9 We're getting there. |
I am in for a burgundy one. fo' my soon to be re-incarnated RECCE
Blue would be my first choice but the Burg would be good too.
I'd like one... Color choice in order is blue, red, gray...
Spooky |
Someone should start the ball rolling on this and move it to the Group Buy forums. I've got my $$$ for the deposits as soon as all the details are ironed out.
Does anyone have a ball park price for these?
If reasonable, I'd be in for one in blue. |
Ball park would be $120, give or take. To make this fly, we pretty much have to settle on a single color, or 25 of each. I'll contact staff and see if a GB is possible. Otherwise we'll have to handle this offline. Giff |
It looks like the majority of posters like blue. The question is, would the others be willing to go with a second or third choice color in order to make it happen?
Edited to pull my 1 out. |
Concerning the screen printing, I have decided that I would rather not deal with copyright laws and such with local screen print companies, and as such, will not offer that as an option.
If you need the screen printing, I would recommend a local t-shirt or greek shop. Giff |
