You guys have a great site.  There are lots fo friendly and knowledegable people here. The 50BEO was my first step into the AR world,  but I am really wanting a RRA Varmint .223 upper in the worst way.

Never really noticed this since I didn't get to far past the info,  but I wanted to give credit where credit is due.

MAINEiac did the majority of the work and research on this. I just kind of went through and helped check all the links and make sure it all worked and inputted a few things.

I just spoke with Alexander Arms.
A threaded version will be out soon. The comp won't need to be glued on anymore.
Although they say the glued version has had no problems I prefer  threaded.

I kind of wouldn't mind a threaded version myself.
May wait that one out for my new one.

I just spoke to a lady at Alexander Arms and she told me the threaded version is just a rumor and they are not going to produce any beowulfs with threaded barrels

i like my beowulf.  i have shot it about 60 times.  i was using my colt 6700 lower for it until i got a seperate receiver for it.  i now use a stag arms lower with an a2 stock and it shoots beautifully.  several of my friends didn't like the recoil as they felt that it was a little "tough".  the rifle scope will smack a baseball cap bill hard enough to throw the cap off of a fella's head (i watched one of my friends do that).  i bought the upper for hogs but have yet to get a volunteer to step forward.  i believe that time will show what an effective hog dropping round the Beowulf really is.  i love the round so much i bought 200 rounds of preloaded ammo, a set of reloading dies and 200 rounds of brass.  i will be getting a second beowulf some time in the near future.

Anyone know if Alexander Arms is going to waste some time and put out a .50 Beowulf t-shirt?  That would be cool to wear!  I would score one or two in a second.  It is good that they don't waste time with froofroo crap though and just design and build great weapons, but I wish they had a t-shirt!!

hi, i am wondering as to if there will be a OA-93 variant of the beowulf and when it could be expected.

I'd rather see'em put out CARBIDE sizing dies than a t-shirt (although I'd buy one of those too if it has a pocket...)

I'm going to be building a Savage Striker for the Beowulf over the winter, and I don't think it will be too horrid to shoot with a brake.  Surely can't be any worse than shooting a .480 Ruger or .500 S&W.

Just for the idea I have a BFR revolver chambered in the Beowulf, my only observation is that it certainly focuses one's attention when you touch the trigger, but it is a pussycat compared to the 500 S&W.  Might be the ideal home defense gun though. I have a 7 1/2" barrel on mine but I have set up guns with 6" barrels as well.

Nice site...and I like the build your 'dream M4 wulf' thread...that Magpul CTR stock
looks mighty interesting too...though the also up & coming UBR stock might even be better suited?

thanks

Iceman, check out www.50beowulf.com for Beowulf paraphernalia.  We got stickers made up with the official Viking Skull logo.  T-shirts should be out soon.  Hats too.
