I've shot it through both my Bushy M4gery(14.5") and Dissapator(16") and not one problem, accurate to at 50yrds, gone through roughly 300rnds of the 89 stamped ammo and have 91stamped for later on in the year. I look to purchase more. Compared to the 55gr AE, there didn't seem to be that much of a difference but I'm no expert.

I tried the ammo in 3 different guns. I only had issues with on gun and it was a firearm issue not ammo. I have fired close 200 rounds through a Bushmaster Carbine 16" HBAR 1/9 twist without any issues at all. Accuracy was much better in the Bushmaster as compared to the two bull barrel guns with 16" and 20" barrel with a 1/8 twist.

I've shot a few hundred rounds through my DPMS rifle. Had no problems at all. It seemed to kick harder than the XM855PD that I was shooting at the same time. The radway green ammo was definately ejected further from the rifle than the XM855PD ammo.

There have been two people who have voted that they had major problems with this ammunition. If you read the instructions, it asks you to post your feedback - especially if you have had a bad experience.
If you have had a bad experience with this ammo and simply vote without giving feedback, you're doing a major disservice to the Arfcom community Lots of potential buyers of this ammo base their decisions on these polls, so please be so kind and share your experience. |

Out of 250 rounds had 15 fail to fires. Primers were dimpled but did not go off. Range has a dud hole, threw the duds in there.

Maybe it's the fault of my RRA Varmint upper, but this ammo is the only ammo I've shot out of it including m855, XM193, IMI .223, 55 gr Wolf, 62gr wolf, Q3131A that has keyholed. Not only a few, but EVERY single round. Too bad, it's a great deal, it's reloadable, it's clean, but I can't use it :(

I bought 150 rounds at a fun show a while back, and had no problems though my Bushmater 14.5" upper/Eagle Arms lower. Seemed to be OK. I'm using the brass for reloads now.

I shot 150 rds of AIM's RG 5.56 out of 2 different AR's, (both Colt H Bar - 20 inch). NO problems of any kind !! I'm happy enough with it, I just purchased 3 more cans.
Date was 1989 on headstamp. UPDATE JULY 05....I shot my 3 shorties this past weekend using RG ammo. 2 of the 3 failed with this ammo after 200 (more or less) rounds. Once the gun got a little dirty, the bolt and carrier would not go all the way back and pick up a new round. It ejected cleanly, but not enough force to pick up a new round from the mag. I had NO problems with my 20 in HBAR's...but Olympic Arms shortie and Colt shortie...as soon as they got a little soot on the bolt carrier, wouldn't cycle properly. Then I poped in a mag of XM855PD and all shorties functioned perfectly....once again. Recommendation: buy this ammo if you have full length barrel. It's accurate, clean and packed very nicely on stripper clips. Pass if you have a 16 inch or shorter barrel. |

I would check to see if my hammer spring was a bit soft. It might not like hard primers. I would have tried striking one of the rounds a second time. |

I have used it in a PWA semi and a full auto Frankfort arsenal conversion
 . runs 100% and seems to be accurate. hit what we were shooting at at 100 yards. we have ran out over 400 rounds so far and I just bought 2 more cans of it.

Well, I fired off another 30 rounds of Radway today. No problems, good accuracy. 10 shots into 4.5 inches at 100 yards Fe sites out of one of my 16 inch carbines.
Hits about an inch and a half right of the Izzy 55gr white box winchester. |

Have had no problems with RORG in 600 rds fired so far. Seems as accurate as SA and Q3131a in my two RRA rifles and old M16 kit gun. I consider it some of my best ammo along with the IMI stuff.
Headstamped RORG 88 & 89 May I suggest everyone post their headstamp. Since we don't have the lot# info for this ammo it might be useful in finding trends to the recent kabooms with this ammo. |

I bought one can of this stuff. I went through 600rds of it with zero issues. Although I wont be shooting the rest untill I hear a little more about the KB reports.

I've shot about 100 rnds of 91 headstamp so far with no problems and no signs of excessive pressure.
Firearm is an Oly Arms PCR 16. Chronograph showed average velocity of 2886fps thru 16" barrel. Sd 12.0 for 10 shots (not a very large sample). T |

fired from parts gun A4 clone (RRA, Colt, DPMS)
<100 rounds fired and maybe 20 cycled the bolt. no similar problems with any other ammo in my rifle, it seemed to work well in a M4 clone another shooter had last weekend. |

HAs Anyone Chrono'd this ammo? I have heard that the British .223 is downloaded, to close to .223 spec instead of 5.56mm spec. Is this true or another internet rumor?

I picked up two 150 rd bandoliers of RG ammo (1991). I have over 1200 rounds of wolf, black hills, and other through my A4 style AR with zero problems. In the first 150 rounds of RG I had at least three or four fail to ejects, causing stovepipes and jams. These were admittedly during bumpfiring but I don't see why that would make any difference. When I did slow aimed fire I had no malfs. Either way it really pissed me off that cheapo wolf functions 100% and the RG which was much more $$ didn't. I won't be buying any more.

I finished my third can of RG today which makes for 2700 rounds fired through my Bushmaster ER15A3 20", Bushmaster M4 16", and a Bushmaster M-17 20". I experienced zero failures of any kind with it, I am very pleased with this ammunition.

The current British round is loaded to meet full NATO specifications. The L2A2 ball round is NATO qualified and NATO interoperability passed. Typical values from a 20’ 1:7 AR 3100-3200fps @ Sea level 50F. |

We shot 150 rounds of this ammo on Saturday. The stuff we shot was 90 headstamp.
20 - rounds though my friends Carbon-15 - No problems. 30 - rounds through my other friends DPMS AP4 - No problems. 100 rounds thought my Bushmaster 20' HBAR- I had maybe 10 or 12 Failure To Feed. It may have been short stroking. It may also be the rifle as the BM only had (60) rounds through it so far (New). After the first couple of mags, it was shooting the Radway with no further problems. We weren't shooting for accuracy, so I can comment on that. I'll report accuracy on the next trip out. I do love the fact that it comes on stripper clips. Mag loads sure are quick. I'll definitely buy more. |

shot 150 rounds this morning with no problems at all.........mine is the 93 headstamp....very accurate.....shot 1/2 in groups at 100yds through a 1 in 7 twist WOA 16" barrel.....the stuff outshot the pmc match 69 grain bthp that i paid 11.00 a box for it.

Yup, it was my AP4, and the Radway functioned flawlessly, even though I didn't shoot a lot of it. And, while we were mostly just goofin off, I was able to hit one of those 2" square exploding targets at 100 yards while shooting the Radway  .I'll definitely be picking up a box or two of it at the next gunshow. I have about 500 rounds of the RG through my M4 and my wife's M4. Zero function problems, and more accurate than Q3131 or XM193 with our 1:9" twist DPMS barrels. It feels as though it's slightly softer shooting than Q3131 or XM193, but based on the above chrono data it's within spec.

UPDATE. I fired another 70 rounds of RG 89 headstamp thru a 20 inch HBAR Bushmaster and a 20 inch Essential arms AR-15 and had problems this time. It seemed to be lack of power. It was from the same lot and bandalier that I fired the first 50 rounds which I had no problems out of . This time the rounds would not cycle and made the weapons single shot. I changed magazines to see if that was the problem but it did the same thing.
I test other ammo I had including Lake city m-193 and winchester white box which functioned flawlessly. Also PMP 223 and it functioned fine also in both weapons. I do not understand why the first 50 rounds I fired earlier this year functioned fine and now the next 70 had problems. What does anyone think about this? |

900 rounds (or however many in a full case of bandoliered ammo) through an M16 with 11.5" (Bushy) upper, full auto. RG 93. No problems with cycling and no signs of overpressure, all went bang. Don't know how accurate but it was good enough to hit Tannerite and tin cans at 100 yards.

I went threw 900 of the 1800 rds I bought last week from Aim. 16" Colt and 16" Bush not even 1 failure. 1" groups at 100 yrds. I'll buy more.

Yesterday I was finally able to chrono some of this ammo. I was shooting my newly broken in WOA 16" medium contour barrel (one of the recce barrels that Denny's Guns is selling). Firing a 5-shot string I got these numbers: Avg: 2973 fps High: 3018 fps Low: 2957 fps ES: 61 For comparison, I also chrono'ed some Winchester USA223R3 (62-grain FMJ bullet). The numbers are: Avg: 2931 fps High: 2970 fps Low: 2911 fps ES: 59 Not a significant difference. Unfortunately, I didn't have any US-made SS109 available to chrono. Interesting to note that even though the RG was running faster than the Winchester, the RG had a softer recoil impulse. |

I have been mostly shooting only 150 rounds at a time of the stuff with no problems. I oil my AR before I put it away but not before I take it out to shoot, so I guess sometimes it is a little dryer inside. I think I should change that habit.
Anyway, the past few times I was shooting 300 rounds or so per trip, and around the 180 round mark the RG was giving me some cycling issues. I tested different mags and 30 rounds of q3131a no problem, but had problems when I went back to the RG. I added a little oil and finished off the rest of my shooting with no problems. Seems to me that it is a little less powerful and has problems if the gun gets dirtier, though I've never had any problems with q3131a or xm193 in any of my range sessions. |

I ran another 240 rounds of this through my 6920 on Sunday. 0 - problems!
My Colt likes it, it seems clean and it shoots decent groups. I'll keep updating as I work through my case. |

i've had one problem with probably 600+ rnds of this ammo.
the rifle was pretty dirty, and might have had somthing to do with it (being as this is 'supposed' to be underpowered). i had a bolt not catching back on empty mags doing a short stroke test, purposely holding the rifle as loosely as possible. when i held it up normally, this never occured. it only happened dirty and when i tried to get it to shortstroke. the next time out, cleaned and loose grip, it wouldn't short stroke, but it didn't short stroke again later after being 'dry and dirty' so i don't know. ammo oracle says its commonly underpowered for that l85 bullpup. |

I have fired 150 rounds myself. 110 were through a 16" Colt, and the other 40 were in a Colt M16A1 lower with a Colt LMG upper. No problems, except for some FTF's from a mag that was proven to be bad.

i shot a 500 in my last high power rifel meet 2 sundays ago using radway green
i have a 1-8 20 krieger ss barrel with cryo at 100yards im hitting 1.5 in groups not too bad for light weight ammo since my match ammo is a 75G and its cheap im getting it by the box for about 100$ a can of 900

Short-cycled in both my Bushmaster 20" & 16" ARs. ALL other ammo functions fine in both rifles. I never got more than three rounds off before a short-cycle. No pattern with the short-cycle; sometimes first or second round but never more than three. Bullets impacted normally at point-of-aim (not high, low or wide). I tried different magazines, dirty -vs- clean rifles, no extreme outside air temps. I even tried an adjustable gas tube from Brownell's with no improvement. I have fired about 75 rounds of this stuff (lasts a long time hand cycling an AR) . I bought mine (RG/88) in the 900 round can from Century.

Not being mean or rude, but this Radway Green ammo poll is almost like many others lately.
This guy would say: My first 5 rounds were FTF,FTE,Stovepipe The next guy would say I fired 600 rounds with no problems Someone else would say I fired off 200 rounds then had issues I quess what I'm tring to say is that XM193 poll looks similar XM193PD Has similar results, M855 also, I read a little here in the forum that Ultramax seems similar It's like it's always going to be like that, unless a poll comes along that brand X ammo shoot perfect in every rifle or Brand X shoots like shit in every rifle. I believe that all the ammo on this earth is going to shoot well in someones rifle and shoot like crap in others. But anyways I have not tried Radway Green but now I feel I should just to see where I stand in this Poll, Thanks for setting it up...... |
