This is what she brought home. 2 ammo cans full for $25.00 ea. But, I'm not familar with it. Is this the WalMart White Box? The case is marked WCC 85

I'm not going to let her see this post. Truth be told, when she left this morning to check out some garage sales, I'm the one who gave her a few 20 dollar bills and told her to find something good. I never expected that she really would!!! She called and asked me if she should should buy a couple of green ammo cans like I have in the garage with some bullets in them. I asked her to describe "the bullets" and thought it might be just a few boxes. When she got home, she complained about how heavy the were and told me to get them out of the truck myself. I was shocked when I saw the two cans full of ammo. BTW, I did fix her a good dinner. ETA: Both her sisters are married. |

I need to go to garage sales. My father goes every week and enjoys it. Several months back I was having lunch with him and mentioned an uzi (semi) at a sale earlier in the morning for $150. We left in a hurry to go check it out, but somebody had picked it up after he left.

Man, she's a keeper. Especially if she likes to shoot. But given the fact that she wasn't too keen on just what kind of ammo it is I'm guessing she's not big into going shooting. Therefore I suggest using some of that ammo in trying to convert her. Use up a can taking her out to let her shoot through the majority of it. |
Close to 1700 The other can had some boxes and a bunch on stripper clips. It wasn't as photogenic.

Let me see if I understand this: 1. Your wife noticed ammo cans while shopping at a garage sale? 2. Your wife thought enough of your needs to determine what was in the cans, call you to verify you needed it, and then pay with her own cash? I suppose next you'll want us to believe she negotiated the price down from $50/can. C'mon, tell us she needed help lifting the cans into the car. Please. Migradog, she is a keeper. Sam |

The VERY interesting part to me, was the photo and comment about WCC85 being the head stamp. About 20 years ago I bought a case of Win USA, wrapped it up in several heavy plactic bags and duct-taped the heck out of it for long term storage. It's been driving me crazy lately wondering if it was M193 spec or .223. Next time the wife is away for business I'll drag it out into the daylight and inspect the rounds. Paladin |
