Wonderful magazine collections, all of them. I am a mag porn addict and love to come here to drool. I just have one question, though; is a magazine still in the package, or otherwise unfired, a magazine or is it a potential magazine - sort of like potential energy - until it's proven on the range?
OK, two questions; the first leads me to the second: if you have hundreds of magazines, do you keep enough ammunition to fill them multiple times? Don't get me wrong, I love the big collections and wish my own was anywhere near as large but for any defensive purpose, I prefer magazines that have been cycled at least a few times. |

I think I'm at just shy of 200 Pmags/Lancers/ DH mags for the AR and 30 or so 15 rounders for the G19 family
|
|

Just got mine in from the psa deal. I'm sitting about a few shy of 50 AR mags, 20 or so glock mags.
I know, rookie numbers compared to some in this thread. |

Nowhere near the stockpiles of most on here but not too shabby considering I just got my first AR back in July of this year. So far I've accumulated 101 mags with a pretty much dead even split between the D&H GI mags from PSA and gen 2 pmags. I have 10 mission first tactical mags and 5 complete piece of garbage hexmags in my pile of polymer. Still not even sure what I'm going to do with the hexmags, probably throw them away because they're such garbage I'd feel bad giving them away or selling them. They jam constantly with steel cased or brass cased ammo.

No I just chalked it up to a loss. I got them for $7.99 and only bought 5 of them thank god.
I read about all the problems on here with them after the fact and saw they did swap them out but mine are the newer ones that are supposed to be good. They have the orange followers and say "series 1" on the side which from what I read that's their new and "improved" version. If that's the case I can't imagine how awful the first gens were. |

Looks like I better try them out this week. |

I am moving to Utah soon (currently behind the Iron Curtain in California) and had over 150 D&H, glock and 5.45 tapco mags shipped to my sister who already lives there.
I already have maybe 75 AR mags, 30 (7.62) AK mags, and a dozen 308 magpul 25 rounders down here, all temporarily blocked to just ten rounds but now that Im moving I can restore them to full functionality again once I'm out of the state. Had a lot of pistol mags but am selling most of them to other CA residents on calguns since Ill be getting the new, full capacity glock mags when I arrive in Utah. |

I started out with a case of 100 C-Products 40 SS mags, and kept going from there, lol. So I too am blessed and grateful, and at 5' 11" and all redheaded gun slinging Cajun/Amazon strong hearted fighter, her work friends call my beautiful, beloved, bride - "Xena, Warrior Princess". Range day with Missus bRotherZoo post on my old blog... And here she is dying a batch of Sand Windowed Pmags over a fire on our property to match the Spikes-Hogue-Noveske-V7 Titanium lightweight blaster I built her for Christmas, with the Hogue furniture in her favorite color - dark wine red. And her new blaster, which is sporting a Sig Romeo 3 that replaced the TruGlo red dot now... But I digress...and since this is a mag pics thread, five windowed Gen 3 Pmags (below) is nothing by hive standards, but combined with a BlueForce Gear 4 pouch "Ten Speed" chest rig and a level IIIA soft chest panel and Camelbak, it makes a nice (starter) care package for a mag-poor brother who spent all his budget on a POF USA 415 that came with one Tapco 30 round mag and no sights...for twice what I spent on my Ruger that came with three Pmags and awesome Troy BUIS... Yeah, I gifted him some C-Products 40s too... And, as is our tradition here, the breakfast of champions... |

Between Primary Arms and Midway having 10 PMags for $80, I've picked up 50 black PMags in the last month. And at $8.99 each I grabbed 13 Foliage Green PMags also. I picked up a dozen FDE PMags last year. So by my count I'm at approximately 83 AR-15 30 round PMags. I may have missed a few in an ammo pouch. 83 is what I put my eyes on. 75 of those are still in the wrapper. Plus 4 black 40 round PMags. Also 6 .308 PMags. Three 20's and three 25's. I tried hard not to leave my Glocks out. So, 15x17 round G17 mags, 5x33 round G17 mags, 7x15 round G20 mags, 6x10 round G26 mags (came with a pair of G26's), and 4 standard G43 mags(came with two G43's). Also got three X-Grip sleeves to run the G17 mags in my 26's. Oh yeah, and one 60 round PMag drum. Just cuz. It's nothing compared to the CASES of mags I've seen in some of your pictures, but with seven daughters, and pinching pennies, I think I'm making decent progress. I do have daydreams of ordering a couple cases @ $800 each. So hopefully the climate stays conducive to procuring more mags at decent prices. Besides, I've got a dozen stripped lowers in the safe waiting to become something special. So I'm gonna have to antie up........
ETA: Forgot all about a dozen 30 round ETS Translucent Smoke mags I picked up last summer. Hell yes. That's less than one 10 pack away from hitting 100! |
