the arms mounts looks like it has less support or wall at the base of the acog.

and in the first pic it looks like the larue is just a hair shorter similar to the ta51/19ld picture.
a price list would be a great addition to this thread

great comparison though and great pics

are all those rifles on the wall for sale or are they personal rifles, see some familar ones up there but the "price tag" is throwing it off.

I noticed that too; The Larue looks like it would be structurally more stable with all that meat surrounding the bottom of the Acog's channel.   Cleaner, smoother, and less protruding.

Thanks for the review and photos NAG!

Is the LaRue in those pics still the same 4XDOS model (just the new ones are lower)?  Or does it have a different model #?

Still the same name.   If you're buying used, make sure you know what you're getting.

Great post and pics Neil.  You are the Yoda of ACOGs and Donuts!  Thanks for your help on my donut question.  I was wondering if you ever looked at the GGG single lever ACOG mount.  It seems a lot more stout (mmm Guinness anyone) than the ARMS 19's.

Sorry, I missed that one!!! First response too. The rifles on the back wall are not for sale. They belong to me and new-argirl. BATF tells us they need to be marked "not for sale" when they do their bi-annual inspection. So they are all marked "DEMO". Here's a price list of all the mounts. All these prices are taken directly from the company web sites, so you may find them for less.

ARMS #19LD - $135
LaRue 4xDOS - $125

ARMS #19S - $109
Trijicon TA51 - $72

now this is where the decision is made

Question: How far can the  arms# 19LD mount be set,?? I like mine further back on my reciever rail and wanted to see how far back it will let you mount it

Guess I should rephrase my question. I like my current TA51 mount back to where you can count 4 positions in the reciver rail in front of it. I wanted to know if the 19LD is spaced the same way, meaning how it fits into the joints, does it have a wider base? But I guess that you do bring up another good point.  Is it positioned the same on the top as well. Basically what I am looking for is a mount that is closest to the TA51, but with the throw levers. thanks

Without having any of these mounts in front of me now, and without being able to actually check it on a gun, I would say the new LaRue 4xDOS or the new ARMS #19LD will allow you to mount in the same exact position as the TA51 mount you are using now. However, each of those mounts, as pictured above, are ever so slightly lower than the TA51. Not enough to have the height make a difference in my opinion.

Thank you very much new-arguy, I'll probally end up ordering the arms #19LD.

Hi Mike,
I mounted my T11C with the GGG mount to my AR10 that I bought from you.  Very solid mount.  I like the one lever.  My big sausage fingers fit in there perfect.  Also, there is another thread on here somewhere about the LaRue mount leaving marks on the rail.
I will take some measurements and a pic and post it in this tread so people can compare to the other mounsts posted.

If you have a RAS-II and an ARMS #40, will the ARMS #19S and #19D fit in the space that is left?  Or will only the standard TA51 mount work?  (As that is the only picture of an ACOG with a RAS-II that I have seen.)

Yes, with two rail notches of foward/back placement:
