Hakko is actually made in Japan, not China, and a very good carry handle mounted scope.

Is Hakko still in business?

OK, I got one of these and I have a few questions.

1. Is the stud screw supposed to be loose?

2. No matter how much I tighten the latch I still get some front to back movement, is this normal?

Help!

I replaced the latch/nut assembly with a wingnut and a nylon washer. Locks up tight.

Someone suggested that to me, I may try that but can you tell me if the stud screw is supposed to be loose?

The screws on throw-latch type mounts are generally lose to allow for variation in handle-thickness between MFGs...

Adjust as-needed for your specific rifle....
