Munition I see you have a Daniel defense rail, Does the tightening ring on the rail interfere with your E0tech when you have it mounted over the gap between the upper and rail? My Eotech would not sit flat, that ring was in the way? |
I was a little nervous before I got an EOTech if that would be a problem. I looked at as many pictures as I could just to be sure.
It doesn't interfere at all to my surprise. I thought it wouldn't work right unless I had a continues top rail. But it works out great where it is. I haven't tried moving to any other position though so it might give me problems if it was mounted a little more forward. |
Though now looking at it again, only just the very front end of the EO are covering the rail portion of the rail and I think the EO mount area bevels out enough there to not effect anything.

Thanks, you can see this over here. ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=18&t=203113&page=1 The special holographic paint is done from Kat Performance Coatings. The rifle will be at the Shot Show, Booth 20052. Thanks! Vic |

I thought about getting a 4x, but I couldn't swallow the price! How do you like it? Does it compare to an ACOG? Whats the eye relief on those? |
I've owned an ACOG and an Elcan and the EOTech w/ this 4X equals the clarity easily. The 4X makes the 400, 500 and 600 meter reticles on my 557 extremely clear and distinguishable. Eye relief is plenty at about 2.5". The 4X is built like a tank and therefore is twice the weight of a 3X mag. Best part is the instantaneous option of going from extreme CQB to Long Range. In CQB mode (4X flipped to side) the front and rear BUIS can be engaged and will co-witness perfectly with the 557. |
I like the rail covers. Where did you get them? I was considering either those or the magpul ones. |

512 and a little 1911 for good measure.

Got a couple of good pics, but my web-fu isn't working today.
Would someone IM me to walk me through posting pics on ARFCOM? |
What rear site is that? |
The covers in the picture came with a Bushmaster B.M.A.S. upper and I have know idea who the maker is. |

I wanted to mount mine a little further out then where yours is at in the pictures you posted. But that ring gets in the way. Bought a Larue mount. it will extend it out where i want it. Thanks for responding. Nice rifle by the way! |

Dude I want that gun! How does the FS2000 compare to the ar15 in your opinion? |
What EOTech? What rifle? |
Anyone know where I can get covers like that? |

What is that? Some sort of MP5 type? The magazine looks a little large to be a 10/22. |
