How is the quality of Tac Forces gun cases? I found the 33X3X12 listed for less than $55.00 are these decent cases for the price? Is their any other cases that compare for this price range? I am looking for two cases one to fit a 35 inch rifle and a 32 to 33 inch case. What AR15.com vender would be a good / best source? Thank you |

For the money, my Tac Force is doing a nice job. I've had it for over two years and after continual in/out the case looks pretty good. The corners are beginning to thin a little but otherwise I've had no issues. Mag pouches were not sized consistently but would still hold mags...one was just a little tighter than the others. |
I like mine ok, but I'm still keeping an eye out for something a little nicer
I love mine, excellent quality. Screw those overpriced big names, my tac force works just as well.
we even have the same gun case |

Very nice case. I really like mine. wish it was a little larger and I had more Molle pouches to put inside.
www.savvysurvivor.com had the best prices when I was shopping and now ADCO sells them in a few sizes and colors. IslandTactical.com sells them and they are where I got a second mag pouch from. |

www.elitetacticalsources.com/client/details.php?pid=3497# I may be wrong, but I thought the idea was for a DISCREET gun case. These are about as discreet as a fully combat rigged SPECOPs member at a ballet recital. |
True, but any four foot long black bag being carried by a guy with a flat top and jungle boots isn't really fooling anyone.
those BOTH look like a friggin' assault rifle case to me...
you need a rectangular one at the very minimum to sort of appear discreet. |
I'm really thinking about the Tac-force. Island Tactical seems to have the best price. Has anyone ordered from Island before?

I realize that Tac Force case is made in Hong Kong.
It's not some airsoft crap, is it? |
No habla airsoft, but according to the mfr the material is made in Taiwan and the sewing is done in China currently. Sewing could possibly be done in Taiwan, but our .gov contact doesn't recognize Taiwan either (even though they are a .mil step child of ours) so we didn't pursue it. I generally dislike imports, but there aren't alot of quality cases for under $100 right now and these are decent quality and the stitching and material is good quality IMO.

do you guys stock the 42" two gun case version? |
We do have the dual transport cases in black and OD yes - $57 +ship Rifle Cases |
Just want to give DSG a big +1. Ordered a case at like 4:15PM on Friday, get a "your order has shipped message" at about 4:30 and received the case on Monday. Talk about being on top of things - plus the case is awesome. I bought the 33" version for my M4 and it fits perfect with the stock collapsed.
Shipping is your choice - UPS ground wouldn't be that much... The site will quote you. |
Thanks for the order Jimmy... Glad you like it.

Can somebody give me a measurement on the inside of the 33" case?
My rifle is 33 1/4" I would like to know if it would fit. Thanks |
You really need the 36" - The 33" will be too tight IMO. We just laid a 32" weapon on one and it would do better in a 36" too.
Gotcha, so when they say 33" it's most likely OD not ID. Thanks. |
They are more like 34" OD, but have the padded interior rim which cuts a little usable space off. If the rifle is too tight it wouldn't give it much muzzle protection IMO.
I agree with Rusty - I bought the 33" version for my M4, which collapsed measures 31.5". In my opinion, this is about the max length rifle you should use it for - I'd go with the next bigger size for your rifle. |

Yes - and I did just that. By the way, they are really 6-mag pouches. You can put two in each compartment. It makes the case a little too thick for my tastes, but can be done.
Has anybody figured out what that other "H" shaped strap is for? I have one in my 20" case for my shorty and in the case I just got. I can't find a use for it.
I've got a couple of the cases and abuse the daylights out of them, and they've held up pretty good. I'm eventually gonna try to get one for everyone of my evil black rifles.
another +1 for Tac-Force. For their price, pretty hard to beat...
any plans for a MARPAT woodland case in the future ? |
got mine from airsoftatlanta about a year ago, and its holding up great! back then it was pretty much an airsoft thing. That price is like a sore peter. ( can't beat it)

I e-mailed DSG about a week ago to find out if the Tac-Force Discreet Case has access to the padding in the sides of the case. They e-mailed back and said that it did NOT. Well I just got an IM from another person on here who said that the Tac-Force case they just got was well made with what appeared to be good materials. They also said that it DOES have access to the foam padding in the sides of the case. So which is it? Can you add/remove padding in this case or not? hinking.gif
I was the person who contacted Knuckledragger with information about access to the foam. I got my case from DSG yesterday and it does have a way to get to a least two of the foam compartments. There is a hidden velcro closure near the spine of the case that allows access. Chances are that in less you were specifically poking and pulling and looking for such things, you'd never notice. I just happened to be inspecting things quite closely after all these threads.
I'll try to take a picture this evening. |

IMO there is no such thing as a discreet rifle case/bag.I NEED discreetness living in MA.What I do is break my weapon down and use a green army scarf to put the 2 pieces in.I have my ACOG in a small camcorder type hard sided case.I also have a army canvas bag that holds 6 30 round mags in the outside pouches and hold hundreds of rounds inside the zippered part. All of this fits nicely inside a gym bag. This is the meaning of discreetness, not a 35"long bag that has pouches on the outside.I would take a picture, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be tactical enough for this forum..LOL |

Here are some pictures of the case:

Nice pictures, Jorg. Seeing the mystery "H" strap, I believe it's intended to give you a place to attach a holster for a pistol. I wonder if they've always had the velcro to access the foam, or if that's a response to the i-SHOT having it?
The back of the mag pouches looked like it had loops to put it on a belt, and rings on the corners to turn it into a "purse", but if the back side is all hook-type velcro wouldn't that catch on everything? |
Very nice job Jorg! Now those are pics like I have been looking for! hard
I just ordered at TacForce bag and am wondering are there other types of pouches with velcro on the back that will mount in this case? Gotta a link?
Thanks. |

Gonna offer an opinion that I am almost sure will be disputed. Eagle is the way to go. I know it's expensive, but I truely think it is the best stuff out there. I wear Eagle gear everyday at work and have trashed it and made use of John's guarentee. Alot of manufacturers make good gear, Eagle makes it in the US and guarentees it for life! Yes it is pricey, but I think it's worth it.
Just my opinion. |
