Had my gunsmith redo my MAK-90 in Vietnam Tiger camo pattern:

Lights in the house make it a bit off-color

with a few matching mags...

hiding in ther bushes...

up against a tree...

Can't really tell from the last picture, but from about 30 feet away the gun was invisible against the bark of the tree.

Why did you post a picture of a tree and a shrub?  How about a couple more with a gun in it.

I haven't paid anything, yet. I do the computer support and website development for the gunsmith/range that did the work on a barter basis. I'll be putting their website up this week.

They're still trying to work out their pricing model, but it will be in line with other vendors.  I've got them interested in doing some "group buy" type refinishing if we can get multiple people interested in getting the same finish done at the same time (same as each other, not the same as this).

They're doing my Israeli HB FAL in Desert Camo next.  I'll be doing the breakdown and stripping work, so I'll probably be able to get the refinish work done for cost.

The gunsmith's name is Eric Weiner. He's got a small shop in the Ready, Aim, Fire range, in Bristol, PA (He used to be in North Jersey). The range has a new owner and I'm working with them to expand their services, both on the gunsmithing and gun shop sides.  The new owner of the range is a very nice guy and really wants to make the gunsmithing and gun sales a going concern. I'll be trying to get them involved in deals for the board members here.

Just curious, how long is the ACE stock with the buttstock adapter?

With that particular stock, about 2" longer than a standard AK stock. Ace makes them in two shorter lengths; one the same as standard, one shorter. I'll be ordering the side folder conversion tomorrow

My factory DSA FAL has that same pattern from in Duracoat +9 matching mags.  I love it.  I've been thinking of having my wifes AR30 done by them in 3 color desert.

The more I think about it, the more I think I'm going to go with Urban Stripe, rather than one of the Desert patterns, for my HB FAL.
