I would like to add a flash suppressor and a bayonet, and my local smith is too chicken to thread my barrel or help me out.  What can I do to get the evil features without a smith's help?

Change the FSB to one with a bayo lug and thread the barrel to 14mmx1LH, using a TAT from Dyna, Brownells etc.
