Duke, I think you might owe Chevrofreak another flash supressor for the commercial he made  I hope that its ok with Chevro for me to post this over here. If not let me know. He responded to a question in the EE and I thought it was great stuff and deserved to be posted here. take a look

It went from throwing flames to throwing sparks. Big difference to me.

I found in my homegrown test (going out back and blasting) it made a huge difference.

My laptop has a 9" screen, and 256 megs of ram. I guess it can't handle the video, because I can't see any flash at all.

Thank You for this post.Very large difference.
I noticed a big difference on the amount of flame on different shots without the flash hider. I wonder if that is variable powder charges.What ammo did you use?

Is this the same birdcage flashhider as on this page?
I too was wondering if it worked with bayonets, but I guess not. Which flash hiders can be used with bayonets?

Im backordered on these for now. I hear back from my supplier on Monday to see how long its gonna take to get more in. If he still has some I will have them by the end of the week but if he has to have more made up it could take a little while. I went ahead and removed the hold on them to allow people to place orders but they wont ship untill Im able to get them back in stock. It seems Chevrofreaks video has attracted a lot of interest in these Ive already gotten a bunch of emails on them. Zaphar I dont know for certain but Im pretty darn sure thats one of mine he's shooting with. These wont work with any Bayos as far as I know.www.MidwestArmory.com |

It's too bad YHM doesn't make Phantoms for the AK. I'd be motivated enough to have a machine shop thread my Vepr barrel for a YHM Phantom 5C1 (for 7.62x39 and not .223)
