This started out as an Galil Ace Pistol w/brace in 7.62 x 39.

Very rad!  Where did you get the hand guard and what’s involved in fitting one on an ACE?

Nice!

Is that the CNC Warrior stock they sell that fits the original hinge?

The handguard is an original Micro Galil handguard and it will fit if the plastic trigger guard molding is cut down.

Yes, it is The CNC Warrior that fits the original brace hinge.

That’s awesome.  I wonder if that would work on a gen 2 ACE?

The Gen one front handguard comes off easy, I don't know about Gen two.

The main issue with the gen 2 ace is that the handguard retainer is gone. So more modification would be needed.

That looks pretty bad ass.

At first, I thought the concept of a 7.62x39 rifle with a < 12” barrel was dumb. However, after my LGS convinced me to buy a gen 1 7.62x39 ACE with the 8.3” barrel, I am absolutely in love with mine. I still need a light on the rifle though.

Themao,

Do you not get light and fire every time you pull the trigger?

Very nice!  What did you use to cut off the mag well from the plastic lower?
Link Posted: 12/31/2023 3:38:28 PM EDT
[#21]
The cutting of the plastic lower was done with a Dremel by a steady handed Craftsman.

LOL. Not with a suppressor. Mine has a MI handguard, Surefire FH + SOCOM 762 can, KNS plastic delete lower, Bravo Company pistol grip, KNS piston:

and yes I still need a flash light on the damn thing. I love this rifle so much, it's the reason why I haven't dumped a bunch of money into a 300 black out AR platform. $400-500/1000 rounds of 7.62x39 mm FMJ vs $700-850/1000 rounds of .300 black out FMJ. It's a no brainer, especially when one considers the awesome hunting loads out there in 7.62x39. I have 5 round magazines for my AKs, so I can take deer and hogs all day long......assuming I ever get time to do such a thing thanks to work . I guess if I ever get into NVG type stuff, I'll get a .300 black out platform.
