It seems to me that used Galil barrels aren't used too often. Reason being is that they time like a FAL, and it's almost impossible to get the gas port to time correctly.
At least, that's how I understand it. |

It can be done. It think it involves some work on the bolt and carrier, and is probably best left to a professional. ARS, AZEX, or ORF can do it for you.

If you are lucky you may get the barrel to time and torque correctly. Most likely though, shimming or removing metal off the barrel shoulder would be needed, which will lead to the headspace being way off. In that case, work on the locking lugs on the bolt may enable it to headspace correctly.
