The G35 is just longer.  And that is a good thing.  Replace the sights with some aftermarket sights and you will have a much longer sight radius than a G22.

The G35 also comes from the factory with the 3.5lb connector, the extended slide release md mag release. The G22 has the 5.5 lb connector. The G22 can be given these mods easily if desired. I have the G22 with standard 5.5 trigger. I tried a 3.5 but felt it is too light for carry, but it shoots nice. I also use the extended slide release but not the ext. mag release. Handle them both, you're sure to like one over the other.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a G22 deal when the 35 was announced.  I liked the 24, but it just seemed TOO dang long for any practical use beyond quality range time.  I'm glad I waited for the 35.

I got mine in '98, subtracted the extended mag release and added night sights (MMC) and three standard-cap G22 mags

She's just about perfect, IMHO.

Great gun for a duty weapon. I really enjoy shooting mine.

Got the 35 with a M3 light on it.  Love it!  Very sweet, very accurate.  Use it as primary with 27 as back up so can interchange mags.

Wish Glock would offer these with a fully supported barrel.  As is, they buldge cases down by the rim making reloading impossible without roll sizing.  I just can't bring myself to buy a new pistol and then drop another $100+ bucks to Bar-Sto for a supported chamber replacement barrel.
I got into quite an arguement with a Glock engineer at the NRA show in Charlotte a few years ago.

I like Glocks, but I am sticking to 9MM until they do something about it.
