Since the original thread got locked on OP request...
https://www.ar15.com/forums/t_5_13/166746_Official_Roland_Special_Glock_19_thread___.html I thought it was an interesting discussion and I'm not sure why the OP requested a lock. While many seem to think that you just leave a Glock alone, it seems the best pistol shooters in the world have decided to put together their own custom guns. Pistol Forum discussion G&A Article There was a good thread on Primary and Secondary but you have to register to see it. 12/23/16 Update: I'm updating this thread a bit to include the term "fauxland special". The Roland special is a very specific setup: Glock 19 with frame work and slide milling, stock internals, KKM bbl and comp, Trijicon RMR, and an X300U. What about pistols following this functional theme but not actually being Roland Specials? Unlike a clone AR thread that balks at "inspired-by builds" I'm amending this thread it to include similar glocks that deviate from the specific configuration but fill the overall function: RDS and comp equipped Glocks that aren't competition oriented "open-class" rigs. G17s, ATOM/ZEV/etc slides, other optics, upgraded triggers and internals, TBRCI comps, non-KKM barrels, non-x300u lights, lonewolf/P80/CCF frames etc... do not a Roland make, but they are functional equivalents that are being termed "faux-lands". |

So has any one else ran into the issue of their 6354DO not securing their Roland?
Now, I'm not taking about the modifications required to the hood and locking mechanism, as that's already done. If I put rearward pressure on my glock, I can pull it out w/o having to disengage the locking mechanism. I'm assuming this has to do w/ the double undercut trigger guard allowing more tolerance for the pistol to move in to holster?? My g22 w/ an x200 fits just fine. |

Unless the trigger guard is *really* aggressively reshaped I can't imagine it creating that much more room for up and down play. |

View Quote Its definitely not the original ATOM as they use two screws on either side to secure the plate to the slide. It looks to be the 2.0 cut from all available pics but I havent taken the plate off yet to verify. Unity is also looking into it. I figured since Unity still says they’re going to release the 2.0 and support it, I may as well get ahead of it. I liked the idea of the original ATOM and i like Unity so im happy to support them if i can |

As an update for anyone interested:
Per Unity, my slide is in fact a pre-production ATOM 2.0 that was done by Boresight for a handful of his close associates. It may have slightly different specs than the final production slides/plates. Super cool item that i was lucky enough to wind up with |

Anyone experiencing issues with a kkm barrel and comp where the weapon doesn't fire? The striker is hitting the primer, but it seems like its a weak strike and just not enough to fire.

Anyone here have experience with kkm comped 22s? Do you run into similar problems as comped 9mm or is it hot enough not to be finicky?

View Quote It should be less finicky on just about anything other than specifically reduced-recoil light target loads. It’ll still have the same basic principles and preferences though, it’ll work better with loads using light or medium weight projectiles and higher pressures |

It pisses me off that they've seemingly discontinued the 1.0. They don't make plates anymore, they haven't made plates for newer optics, no one seems to cut for the ATOM anymore either. Then years ago they announced 2.0 and haven't done anything with it. |
