Alright, I don't know if we can get a tack but I'm pretty knew to buying ammo on-line.  Where is the best place to find SD and plinking ammo on-line.  Please provide a link.  Maybe we can get enough responses and links that this post will rquire a tack.

Georgia Arms is one you might consider. I don't know your needs, but they are reliable people to deal with.

Couple of places for Winchester Ranger SD ammo

mahsupplies.net/

www.brasskingsammoii.com/WINCHESTERRANGERLAWENFORCEMENT.html

I clicked Brasskings, chose a box of 9mm 147 ammo to see what it would come to.

Amount:  $24.95 USD
Shipping & Handling:  $18.95 USD
Total Amount:  $43.90 USD

18.95 S&H for a small box of ammo?

I just ordered from Natchez. Great prices, fast shipping. I also use Ammoman alot, and recommend both.

Unless you like Wolf, go with Cabela's or Cheaper than Dirt. They have the best selection.

personally i don't like the way the ammo site is set up at by either of them.  it just seems to me that natchez is the easiest to find what you want followed by ammoman.

i have never had a problem with sportsmansguide but then again i was living in ohio at the time.  on the other hand they will let you pay for your entire order but if parts are not in stock they will ship them when they come in.  and sometimes you may have to wait a month or more--not satisfactory for me.  at natchez they will just email you when they get it in stock and you can buy it then.

Most of the Cabela's bulk ammo IS Wolf. (my recently purchased 9mm and .223 were both Wolf)

I did a quick comparison between Montaineer Custom Cartridge and Lancer Custom Ammo. The prices for Mountaineer seem high.

Here are some items that I've recently bought from Lancer compared to MCC:

45ACP 20SWC             Lancer 8.50  MCC 12.50
45ACP 230FMJ           Lancer 10.00 MCC 13.00
9mm 124gr JHP          Lancer  8.25  MCC 13.00
40S&W 180gr JHP   Lancer 10.50 MCC15.00

When comparing the JHP rounds, both use Hornday XTP bullets.  Lancer will also load in new brass for $1.25 a box more.

I'm sure Mountaineer makes good stuff but I can buy new ammo for less than their remanufactured ammo.  When buying reloads, I can buy 20-40% more for the same price.

Thats cool. I was only letting you know what We have used and what you could get it at, On the remanufactured ammo, just a note, Only a few of the Cal are remanufactured, and most of it is new brass.
