I don't know, but I've read that the Sig 210 is one of the most accurate production pistols made.

I'd have to say the Sig 210 as well.  Wish I could afford one....  **Sigh**

a gun is a machine. if you put it in a vice it will do the samething everytime. You are the only variable in the mix.  Of course this excludes faulty parts like bad barrels, sightes etc.

I think it would have to be a toss up between the Sig 210 (+1 to all of you guys) or a custom 1911 from SVI in 9mm.  I shoot IPSC with an SVI .38 super, and it is balls accurate.

What about wind, heat, and load variations?

I hate to disagree with you, but there are LOTS of variables in guns themselves that contribute to inaccuracy.  If not, the bench tests where they do clamp it in would all be one hole, no matter the pistol manufacturer.  In a semi auto you have barrel to slide lockup, microscopic (or sometimes not so damn tiny) variances in the lands and grooves, chamber size and shape, slide to frame tightness, etc., etc., etc.  Quality control and methods used for milling, construction, and fitting all play parts.

So how much (actually) is the Sig 210?

Sig 210 also. I actually had a chance to shoot one of those puppies, great gun if you can afford it. My friend bought a slightly a used -2 with European heal mag release for something like $1700. He sold it for $2000 last year. Gun holds 8 rounds.

There are probably very few questions you could ask on this board about which you will receive such near-unanimous agreement.  The SIG-210 is dang near revered in most gun circles for what it is.  Like many here, I wish I had one but just haven't been able to justify that much $$$ for a 9mm - even a tack-driving one...

Best out of the box, bone stock has to be the SIG 210.

Probably the most accurate 9mm custom would be a Beretta M9 built by MSgt Sams at the AMU...........0.875-inch groups at 50 yards with factory match ammo.

oh I totally agree with you aim for my head.  UMC ammo will shoot just as good as federal hydrashok.  It's all my fault that the cheaper ammo doesn't group as well as the higher end ammo.  Oh and that barrel always drops back down to the exact, exact same spot every time.  What world do you live in??????????

Sweet looking 92.  Who did the barrel work?  And did it alone make a difference?  TIA.

The best gun in the world is an inaccurate piece of shit in the hands of someone who doesn't know how to use it correctly and the biggest piece of shit pistol can probably still be shot very well by an expert marksman.

It's all relative to who is using what. Having a gun that fits you best is probably as important as the ammo you chose to shoot through it if you plan on shooting for match level accuracy.

Or not... wtf do I know.

I wonder how the Mark 23 would match up? If we're doing a purely out of the box matchup here. forget price the price tag.

Well, if they started making the Mark 23 in 9mm, we could find out.

Novak custom P210

May not be the MOST accurate, but I wouldn't mind owning one.

That's about the only Beretta I'd carry.

Novak BHP would work for me as far as accurate 9's go.http://www.novaksights.com/pictures%20in%20Photo%20Galllary/bhp/bhp-0605.jpg
