Yes, a revolver is a good "idea."

+1 whenever pulling a gun on someone, a revolver works as well as anything else.

It looked like a little smith.  Maybe a model 60 with wooden grips.  But heck, all of those little snubbies look alike.

It struck me the cylinder was odd looking and that it wasn't a normal snubbie.  I'd like to know more about it.

If they stayed true to the book, it is a CADCO Firearms (Phillips & Rodgers) Medusa revolver

No, I think it was a little Smith.  I recall seeing the distinctive S&W rollmark on the frame below the cylinder in one shot.

Looked like a Smith (definate round barrel w/ short underlug) with an unfluted cylinder.

Was there an HK USP .40 in the movie?

They specifically mention it quite a few times in the book, just wondering how much of it carried over.

Yes, the monk/villain used one to cap several folks.  There's a fairly good shot where you can see it locked back with an empty mag.

after watching it today, it did not look like a medusa, a S&W maybe a model 60?  but you're right, the cylinder looked completly smooth, odd.

Note that everything behind the barrel looks VERY Smith and Wesson......
