I bet.  Planning on doing any accuracy tests?  Have previous/clean results to compare to?

=)

Ok I know a Glock will take the abuse. But why do you Hate your gun. Send it to me and I will give it a good home with my other Glocks. Tell it that it's new owner is a Glock Armorer and will respect it and treat it better. LOL

I'm curious to see how a SA XD series pistol would fare under the same conditions.  Any intentions on testing an XD?

I don't own an XD nor do I plan to ever buy one.  I'm just curious

This seems about the right use for a Glock...

Keeping the ol Jeep from rolling away...

Just to confirm, this is, infact a G21?

Please keep us informed until the day your Glock dies.  I'd like to see what finally puts it over the edge.

Yes its a glock 21. Nothing but time will put an end to it. I really wish I had documented its life, but I stopped keeping track of stuff after I quit reloading. Lets see at first it shot 10K rounds of lead - cleaning after every use. Then 50K rounds of jacket reloads. (I kept all the bullet boxes for counting) a few years ago I started buying S&B by the case and for a while was going through 3-4K rounds a month. I had to stop shooting so often as my hand began hurt. The whole "how much more can it take"  is probably only 8-10K rounds old.

Have you ever had any stoppages or parts breakages on this firearm?  Even small ones?

I love my G22. My wife has a G17. I'm responsible for 25 Glocks. I'm sort of like the Maytag repairman, not very busy.

Of course it still functions fine, it's a Glock. Why should we be impressed. ;)

Try it with a Larcin. If you have the same results, then i'll be impressed.:o)

Do you have any pictures of the pistol "cleaned" up?

I'd like to see how the finish/polymer frame is holding up to the extreme abuse.

I have a Glock 17 and love the idea of how rugged and reliable it is.

Just wondering how the slide/frame is looking after all of the abuse.

Great pics.  And to think I've been cleaning my first gen G23 religiously after every range session.  Ha, now with a clear conscience I can just chuck it into the gunsafe.

Hmm, on second thought as it's my carry piece maybe I'd better stick to cleaning it.

That is dang impressive, though, what your G21 has been through.  Glock on.

Good test for that Glock, might have to get one of them.

The only thing I have replaced in the 8 years I have owned it is the recoil spring, which was noticably wore out between 50-60K rounds.

I don't want to seem like a non-believer as I love my glocks also, but my G22 that I purchased in 1992 doesn't have the frame with the finger grooves.
Your G21 does. Is that the original frame or was it replaced at some point? I didn't think Glock started with the finger grooves until much later.
Here is a pic of my G22 and some proof that it is deadly to bowling pins.

I have a practically brand-new cond. HK USP fullsize 40cal SS slide variant 1. LOVE it to death. I also adore Glocks, my next weapon will either be a Springfield 1911A1 Blued or a Glock. I'd love to get a good "beater" like an older 2nd gen 17, some hi-caps, and NEVER clean it, see what happens, just for my sake....

I'd like to see some true torture tests of a USP, but who wants to do that to their pistol?

Question: are you running it with 10 rounders or hi-caps?

Warning you will see my own personal opinion in the following message, if you don't like personal opinions please look away.

No shit. Maybe you don't even damage the gun, but take a look at it, it looks like crap, theres a caked on layer of mud that makes it look like a damn garden tool.

What are you trying to prove? It's all allready been done, to a pistol you didn't have to invest your hard earned money in.

My brother owned a G19 for 3 years and never once cleaned it till the day he sold it, he basically used hoppes #9 and cleaned it with a toothbrush.

It never jammed (granted he probably only fired 1000rds in that time period), he handled and dry fired it a lot with sweaty hands and it started to show surface rust in some areas (He traded a mini-14 for it from a police officer at a gun show when he was 15).  It was allready well used and a lot of the polymer coating worn off.  The tennifer is tough, the rust just wiped off and he was able to sell the G-19 with 4hi-caps for $450 and buy a new pair of skis for the KMHS downhill ski-racing team.

All I'm saying is, stomping it in the mud only increases your chance of something being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and in the process makes the gun look like shit.

Yeah I was a little surprised when he wasn't even asked for ID, and that an off-duty police officer would trade a kid a handgun (naturally he could have just as easilly transferred it to my dad at the time and my brother still would have gotten a Glock, so it really isn't that big an issue.)

Good point.  The Israeli's are so last week with their beat up M-16's.  Definitely, not envogue.  Perhaps the Palestinians would take them more seriously if their weapons were presentable.

"beat up M-16's"

Beat up but well maintained and free of caked on dirt and sand.

The level of maintanance is the intimidating factor and says one thing: "I am a well trained soldier."

That is why they are intimidating.

Kind of hard to have caked on dirt and sand when there's no water, huh?
