We all know you can't put an extension on a Mossberg 500 because the captive screw from the barrel to the end of the stock tube is in the way, but on a 590 the connection between barrel and magazine tube is more.. remington 870-ish. So how come I can't find an extension tube for a 590? Nobody seems to make one... I put a 2-shot extension tube on that I had on a Remington. Not only did it prove to me that there's physcially no reason it couldn't be done, but the threads even seem to match. Why don't they sell the Remington extension as a 590 extension as well??? Is there something I'm missing here?! (Yes I know the 590 is already high capacity, and would need some kind of special longer spring to drive all those shells towards the receiver...) |
