Would love to see it when it's come together.  And a hands-on review comparing it and your others.

Perfect.  Thanks!

The first pic is how I envision using them but I don’t doubt that they may end up like the second pic.

But seriously, I run a Wilder neoprene inner for that very purpose, but for those times when I'm operationally operating with my pants on, I prefer a 2-belt system, just takes seconds to rip the neoprene out, and quickly put it back in when I'm all done with clothed operations.

I’m definitely going to give it an honest go at the inner belt setup when my magnets arrive!  Just I don’t use an appliance as cover and my ass get magnetized stuck to it lol.

Same reason I went with the Wilder Tactical padded inner belt and Esstac shooter's belt outer. I can throw it on in seconds versus taking longer to thread the inner belt through belt loops, then putting on the outer belt and hoping it's lined up correctly. This way, I can put it on no matter what I'm wearing and it'll stay. I've even tested it while wearing my EDC belt (Kore Essentials) & pants and while wearing athletic shorts with just a drawstring. It works the same on both and is just as fast on either one.

Also, I got a notification that my new holster shipped. It SHOULD be here Monday, but we'll see how accurate the USPS is (not holding my breath).

Just got mine in.

Using the measurements provided, I got a 37 with pants on through the belt loops with a shirt tucked in.  So, I ordered a large given their size ranges.

It ain't even close.  Way too big.

For reference, 33 inch pants are what I wear, and I can IWB carry in them.  I sent them an email, given how new this is I feel they're going to be getting some returns.

For those of you wanting a 45* pistol mag pouch but already have single mag pouches, just use the Fightlite Malice clips and mount them through the MOLLE at an angle. The scallops on the MALICE clip leave enough room to be weaved through at an angle. Works on my Bison belt and Ronin belt.
I didn't have single mag pouches, so I took my ESSTAC gapped double mag pouch and cut it in half between the seams. It works fantastic and is quite secure, with a little less movement than mounted vertically.

Forward cant isn’t as much of a hindrance as I expected. Question for ALS guys using safeties: do you snick the safety off at the same time as hitting the ALS lever, or is this two distinct thumb movements?

A lot more, and worth it I think. Just feels better.

I was talking about the forward cant of the holster. My first Safariland. I’ve only ever used a straight drop before this and never with retention.

I ended up keeping my KYWI gap near the hip and kept one angle closer to the center line as a speed reload.

My use is for run and guns and I've rarely had to go to second magazine. It's definitely faster.

Wife and kids were out of town last weekend so I spent all Saturday evening doing dry fire in my house and playing with shit.

I’m not sold on the TRex Med pouch. Kind of a pain in the ass to access especially with shears shoved in there. I’m also sick of buying/trying new pouches but I much preferred the tear off type. I’m going to sign up for a dark angel stop the bleed class in the fall, and I can get a bunch of discounts on their gear. Any reason not to buy a DA Spear, assuming I can grab one for around $130?

Anyone have extensive experience with the new Defense Mechanisms MECH battle belt?

I've gone from an HSGI Operator's Belt (way too heavy on my hips, didn't like the movement of molle pouches up/down), to an Esstac Shooter's Belt 1.75" (absolutely loved it, just bought the wrong color, and it's way too late to do an exchange), to ordering a DM MECH belt.

I had an MEPC on order, went back and forth with their customer care on some battle belt questions; they were so helpful, I just went ahead and bit the bullet on the MECH since I've been eyeing it for a long time. Nothing concerns me except the 2" width with a 1.5" inner. Thoughts?

I went from a Blue Alpha gear to the MECH belt about six months ago and really like it. I use mine as a battle belt and my USPSA belt for about two matches a month.

I went away from the Blue Alpha because I noticed my True North hanger was starting to wear through the molle on the Blue alpha, and I saw the "molle slots" on the inside, so the whole hanger is supported instead of just hanging off the side of the belt. I really like the way they did this so legacy molle pouches are super easy to use, but dont require you to give up any velcro engagement on the inner belt. If you are using onewrap it's certainly less of an issue, but I have two HSP pistol Pouches and two HSP rifle pouches on it which are molle, and they work great.

The other thing I noticed is that the DM is much easer to adjust a little bit if you dont get the tension on the inner belt just right.

All in all I really like it, if a meteor came down and took my belt out, I'd buy another one.

I also run the DM Mech belt.  It does not suck.  True North MHA in the pic has been replaced (with no regrets) with a GWS Bang Hanger/Shaw Sidekick combo, and the Hogue fixed blade was just a momentary lapse of judgement.

So.

2+ years on, what does everyone (that uses it) think of the One Wrap attachment?
Still the bees knees? Cat's meow?
What would an alternative be?

Setting up a belt for range purposes and don't want to thread molle. I have some plastic belt loops inbound to try.

Belt loops are nice, especially if you run stuff on a leather belt, but you are building a range belt that has Velcro, one wrap shits all over them.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new belt after years of using a 5.11 nylon 2" duty belt. Anyone have an opinion on a 1.75 compared to a 2 inch belt? I'm probably going with the Esstac enhanced and will be buying all new pouches so I'm not concerned on moving things from the old belt to the new one.

The One Wrap loops I put on four years ago still look new. I keep an extra loop on every belt just in case, but have yet to need it.

I doubt you will notice any difference, other than your inner Velcro belt will move more easily through your belt loops.

What are you guys using for your holsters on your belts?

I need to get a new holster setup for my battle belt due to me getting my G19 cut for a RMR. Is the ALS still the way to go?

Also how are you mounting it to the belt?

Safariland.

I just use the belt loops, but other guys will get True North adapters. I don't switch out guns so I don't need that.

I like my T.Rex Ragnarok holsters mounted with the Bladetech Tek-Mount system.  I only have one belt right now so I can easily swap holsters at the range.

Is this the Wilder Tactical inner belt you speak of? Wilder Tactical Urban Assault belt pad

I like the idea of not having to loop an inner belt in times I'm in a hurry or want to wear athletic shorts. I too use the Esstac shooter's belts.

I just got my first 6390 a month or two ago, and I’m pissed I didn’t take the recommendation years ago.
