How come we don't have a thread where people post pictures of their "Johnny-Go-Fast" gear: packs, chest rigs/harnesses, etc? Like the "stud board" over in Lightfighter... although it's mostly R.A.I.D. packs.

Let's get it going.

I only have a Weesatch so far.  I'm planning to get a thigh rig holster for my 1911, a dump pouch for my AR mags, and figure out a way to attach my Strider.

SinistralRifleman: I tried googling for the MOUT Rig I, but the results were inconclusive. I'm really looking for a configuration such as that to hold the shotgun shells. Could you please provide a link if possible or did you loop parts of a bandolier onto the rig. Thanks!

That guy must have gotten around, I've got his gear as well.....  I consider it second line gear (for me), but I have no doubt that it would continue to serve well if called upon.

Stuart Wilson, of Essential Tactical.  I might mention that I run customer service for the dude, since he has no concept of what "customer service" really is.  He's the stitch bitch, and I handle the rest.

Every piece of nylon in those pictures, with the exception of the stuff labeled Camelbak, and the Tactical Tailor X-harness (which was modded to take 2" straps) was made by him.

I'm not *that* tactical. B'out all I got is a SOE 6 mag drop leg pouch, gear belt and a camel back. Maybe I'll pick up some gear at the g/s in the this morning.

I'm shopping for a rig now.

I'm thinking of the Eagle Tac V1 Tactical Assault Vest like this one.  I was thinking of removing the two side mag pouches, if they get in the way of my duty belt.  Has anyone removed the pouches from a vest before?  I figure, they're only sew on.  I could use the two pouches for loose mag storage or maybe make them removable.

Keep posting photos.  I'll get more ideas.

Personally I hated my vest, I am switching to a MAV similar to Hoplophile's above! I prefer to be able to move things around and set them up how I feel most comfortable!

Here is mine, with me wearing it.
HSGI Wasatch in Multicam, HSGI Tactical hat in MC, Safariland 6004, everything else is pretty self explanatory I guess lol. I also have a well used and abused Eagle AIII pack that I use for just about everything.

How do you like the Warlord????  I am debating between the Warlord and the Wee.  I'm not going to be able to get armor for the Wee any time soon, so I think I am leaning twords the Warlord now.
Do you wear it with a back pack?  I have a Camelbak BFM that I would be wearing too and wondered it any of the straps would get in the way of the warload.

I'm pretty satisfied with the Warlord.  The crossed straps at the neck takes a bit of getting used to, but that may be me and my 18inch neck.

No, I don't wear a backpack with it, if I did I would remove the Hydration Carrier (it's all modular)

I also have a Multicam "Beez Custom Services" Ballistic Carrier that will accept Plates, should I run across some in the future.

Dude, Jeff, are you running that Boar at waist-level?  It's a CHEST rig, for crying out loud.  Get a belt or leg holster, you dork.  We're going to have to make a video for you to teach you how to use that rig.

It works great, I was kind of wary at first because I had heard all sorts of good things about it but couldn't get my hands on one locally to try out. I broke down and ordered it and couldn't be happier. I reccomend getting the shoulder pads when you order one too, the straps are wide but still start to dig in to your shoulders after having it on for a while.

here are mine,

Top is a BHI strike omega with various pouches. I am actually selling the vest in the EE right now. I liked it but it was just to restricting and hot.

Bottom is my current project. Its a BHI commando recon chest harness. No im not a BHI nut It was either this or the TT 2 piece mav, im still gonna try the mav out as well then sell the one i dont like. Im still waiting on 6 TT mag shingles, maxpedition M4 pouch, maxpedetion rollypolly, nalgene pouch, lightfighter raid pack,  knife pouch and camelbak thermobak 3L( that i am either gonna sell or return to lightfighter because i decided to go with a camelbak hawg instead). So far i am extremly happy with the chest rig. And check out the hat i made! Its also got a name tape sewn on the back. Ill post new pics when the chest rig is finished.

gazukull-
Nice gear.  About the CamelBak and canteens.  Was your concern just more water (i.e. would another CB have worked) or do you prefer canteens for some reason?  I've ditched all of mine except for a single squishy parachutists version for use with a mask.

And what vest is that under your Hellcat?  TAG Spartan?

Canteens are easier to fill and are better suited to non-drinking tasks like flushing wounds.

Maybe compared to a CamelBak, but Nalgenes or something else wide-mouthed are easier to fill, mix Gatorade in, clean, etc.

The honest to goodness truth Slimhazy is that I had not heard of Nalgene bottles until recently :D.  I got out in 01, so I am kinda behind the times.  I just recently got all this stuff and got rid of my trusty LBE.   Yepper, that is a TAG spartan, very nice piece of kit!

Oh yah, and I live in AZ.  On my ruck I carry another 4 2 liter canteens.  Water is always my primary concern out here.  And even that probably is not enough.

Gazukull-
You can never have too much water.  Or ammo, and it looks like your rig is set up well for both.  I've got a TAG Spartan on the way to me now.  I had been debating it for a while and finally saw one walking out of chow.  After checking it out up close I went ahead and placed an order.  Seems to be a big improvement over the IBA cover as issued, plus I think I can use it with concealable panels with a few mods.  Once I get some stuff moved around on that and my Hellcat I'll have some pics for this thread.
