Propper's stuff has always been pretty decent.  I ordered a pair the other day. I'll give you my impressions when they get here.

I have had a pair for about a month now.  They are pretty much bombproof.  They are very heavy duty, seems to me to be better quality than the new 511, which was a drop in quality I think from the old Royal Robbins.

I think they have a scotchguard coating on them also.  I have washed mine a bunch and they show no signs of wear or fading (they are black).

Are the back pockets the angles slash type pockets like the 5.11's or are they standard flap pockets?

Vector....

The rear pockets are not angled, they are straight, no flaps.  If I had a complaint, this would be the only one so far.  I am used to the angled pocket and used to putting a clip knife in it where the rear/front meet.

Lots of room.  Very nice pants.

Just got mine today.  Typical quality of Propper in general(which is a good thing).  Roomy without being too baggy if you know what I mean.  Good material, decent stiching.  All in all not bad for $30.00. Just as good if not better than 5.11.  Not quite Crye Precision.  But for less than 1/3 the costs.....

Someone explain the big deal to me. What is so special about these 5.11 pants? I don't see how anything could be better than good old BDUs.

Plus the 5.11's have reinforcements in the corners of the pockets. I've got a whole bunch of BDU's with the corners of the front pockets blown out. They're just a more ruggedly built pant.
