From another board, here are some photos from someone's private "Vault Gun Room", as he calls it (not mine, unfortunately, but very impressive!):

The following is a copy of what the owner posted about it (yes, it is a personal collection!!!):
If the truth be known; I was fortunate to be first involved with NFA devices many years ago when sex was safe, motorcycles were dangerous and NFA "stuff" was reasonably priced. Indeed my DD and Class 3 goes back to 1978 (was there a 1978??) when one could afford this stuff.

Unfortunately, all the NFA "stuff" was crated away in warehouses while I spent years fighting the battles of Corporate America. Only recently have I had the opportunity to design and build a 1600 sq. ft. underground Vault and Gun Room with its own underground firing range. So most (there is only room for half to two-thirds of the "stuff") of it can now be out (well, relatively out, because all displays are inside the underground vault) where it can be seen and appreciated. (All the cabinets you see are full of NFA devices which I'm hoping to cycle through the displays).

I didn't mean to be cute with my inquiry regarding the 1927. Yes, it is on the wall right under the fully engraved 1921AC which until recently nobody, apparently, knew about. But, having been out of it for some years now I wanted value opinions from the RKIs on this board so I made the first post in this thread.

Again, I really solicit your thoughts, comments and observations.

If anyone has questions about the Vault Gun Room I'll try to answer them.

...there is not a single post sample and only a very few pre samples.

Sounds like a guy i know. He had a space between two metal doors where you had to enter a code. If the wrong sode was entered you got the o.c. spray.

What other board?  Do you have a link to the original thread? I'd be interested in seeing his comments on building a vault.  Thanks.

pretty cool set-up and nice collection, but.... I have serious doubts the guy has a realistic exit plan for the sale of his home, or a bug-out plan in case of fire/flood/riot/war/whatever.

Too many big/expensive toys to grab-n-dash.

Who needs an exit/bug out plan when you can arm an Army?

All this in his basement, I hope he has an elevator to get it top side because some of that stuff is HEAVY!

BTW you think he has a daughter? I don't even care if she is ugly if I'm cut in on the will.

...And I thought my new king-size Heritage safe was something special.  This guy flat-out rocks!  He needs to come over & hang out w/ us.  I got jealous trying to ID all the goodies he has hanging in the cases.  That is the ultimate (underground!) private vault collection.

If I was the owners grandson I'd be hoping it doesn't sell.

Handguns are on the second floor, next to ladies' lingerie.hem
I see all the goodies in there too. Flamethrower, M-16, .50's everywhere and even some water cooled MG's (I forget their names). That room is the perfect vault.

Wow, just wow. I'd love to just spend a day looking at his collection. I was 4 when that guy started collecting. I should have been selling lemonade and stockpiling. Damnit, if only I had known!
