My sub is prety plain, but it does have the rail for a Surefire in a First Samco mount.

What's up with the extended stock?

Shoots very accurately out to 50 yds.

The reason for the extended stock is it sits real high on the
shoulder when you look through the scope with your head straight up,
with the stock barely touching the shoulder. If you want a nice fit on
the shoulder with the stock, then you really have to really cant your head.
The only way to have a both a nice fit on the shoulder and not cant your head
is to extend the stock. It's a much better position and more natural.
Since a a picture is worth a thousand words, here is my son modeling it.

Not the gun I would choose for home defense, but whatever floats your boat.

That is exactly how I was trying to shoulder the Sub2000 on my first range session w/ it.  You kind of have to because the LOP is too damn long and the sights are too low, but the bottom of the stock is sharp!  I actually had a bunch of small bruises from it on my shoulder.  I was thinking of adding a pad or something to the bottom.

I guess the scope doesnt allow you to fold it?

It's not my primary home defense weapon. But it is light, east to use, reliable. It's an option though. The wife likes it.  Yes your correct, I can't fold it with the scope.  I had fun gun smithing it.

What did you do with the front sight? Does it come off or did you have to cut it?
