I need to pick up a few of these for my M4-96D.  Any thoughts on where I can find a few?

Cheers!

You could call Gemtech and ask about the M4-96D mount rebuild kit...

What is included in the mount rebuild kit?

The manual indicated that the only user replaceable item are the 2 O rings.  As long as they are Viton what is the difference?  Last night I even found mil-spec Viton O rings that are the right size.

So, what all comes with the kit?

Thanks.

The Viton O-rings and a replacement spring.  There aren't any other removeable parts.

I don't know the part number, but it is a size #60, they are also available at your local hardware store.

hello. you dont need the vinton high temp o-ring. just use the standard #60 o-ring you buy at any hardware store. this is all i use and have yet to wear one out. i pay 33 cents each compared to the 12.00 for a vinton. kirk

hello. i didnt say i pay 12.00 for the oring. i pay .33 cents.  i have seen them advertised quite a few times for that price in gunlist and small arms review. my basic response was that you dont need to spend anywhere near even a dollar and get the same item. alot of people fall for the adds that say you must have this for your gun or it will fail, when you can get the same comparable item much cheaper.  kirk
