Interested in how this would do on a lead caked rimfire suppressor baffle stack.

One way to find out

I was gonna wait for a rimfire baffle cleaning. Now I see it's in-process. That outcome will decide if I'm a buyer.

There’s a non trivial amount of crap in these… the caking is like 2X thicker than the walls. The scoops around the cones are completely filled in, but I’m surprised how clean the cones and notches are. In hindsight, I probably should have weighed them before and after and removed the orings. |

In on this for scientific results!

May even make me look at aluminum rimfire cans if this works. Where's my popcorn?

Wow. The effect on that mount was impressive.
Tagged for the Warlock results. I have a Warlock II and CGS Kraken with aluminum baffles. |

You’re making me want to buy aluminum rimfire suppressors
|
|
|
Ordered a gallon , why not try it out.

That looks pretty damn clean.
I'd like to see the msds to see what chemicals are in this. I would not use that serving dish for serving anymore... |

I had stupid good results with orange hand scrub stuff from the auto parts store.
For really caked on stuff, i did have to scrub a little bit. But it was able to get stuff unstuck that a wire brush on a drill would not touch before. |
|
|
That's pretty impressive. I'd be very happy with that. Suppressors don't need to be surgically clean.
The instructions also say to fire some supersonics after soaking 24hrs to blow out the loosened fouling. http://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--E_VQpyt---/ggsci72ubvjoo4vgd2dp.pdf |

Tagging this, old school

Not fly enough to be halal....

I'd be curious how'd it work if just sprayed on the parts.
Comes with a sprayer, makes me wonder if it doesn't need soaked. |
|
|
Here is a thread from june 23 on it, no tests thou just questions. Someone posted a link to download the msds.

Awesome! I’ve been wanting to try this stuff, my LGS carries it and told me it worked great but I dismissed them because they’re usually idiots.

Holy shit that does look impressive.

Interested in 24 hour rimfire results
|

Damn I got some too from ECNS. Maybe I should try it on my nasty ass hydra al baffles.

Hmm this may be just the ticket for soaking my sealed 9mm cans. I've never heard of this stuff before.

Very impressive. Thanks OP

Please retire that dish. Anything that cleans suppressors will migrate lead to the dish.

I saw this recommended in a recent thread...Strongly considering filling a centerfire rifle can and letting it sit for 24 hours.

Thanks for the info and pics OP.
Going to order some. |

I wonder if this is basically the same chemical composition as Bore Tech C4 carbon remover, which I've had similarly impressive results with on carbon fouled parts. Curious if anyone out there has tried both and can comment.

Just checked. It's on Amazon, and cheaper.

Wake up OP!
It's science time! |
|
|
Even the preliminary results appear to be compelling. I snagged a gallon, thanks for posting this!
ETA: Since the suppressor cleaning people are milling about in this thread, does anyone know of somewhere that sells a reasonably priced 1/2x28 and/or 5/8x24 threaded bolt to use as a "suppressor plug" for cleaning purposes? |

Thanks for dunking them in completely dirty with zero pre-cleaning. Very interested in how it handles lead. Tons of options for removing carbon out there, mostly interested in the hard lead deposits on rimfire baffles. Right now I hand scrape and wet SS pin tumble to remove lead. |

Nice that it on Amazon. Gonna have to give it a try. If it works I could have saved myself $300 for a .22 suppressor recore.

Person above posted gun.deals links for this. 1 Gallon at Lanbos for $63 before shipping is better than the $106 Amazon listing. |

Going to snag some. Emailed Rugged asking if CLR was safe for the oculus baffles and they said no. I have some stubborn deposits that ultrasonic hasn’t been able to remove. This looks promising,
