7.5”. Gonna be a flame thrower without a suppressor.
Folks will be in line to purchase one of these. Great for the industry. FN seems to be opening up to the civilian market. Suppressed, will make a hell of a go bag platform. |

7.5" is bleeding edge shortness for 5.56, but killer (pun) suppressed HD go-to gun.

it'd be cooler in some sort of title1 configuration. Sell it as a pistol and let us form1 it and buy the stock.
Maybe these new eform4 will change my mind. But my NFA guy still charges $100 to be a middle man. |

I don't own any FN products, but when I saw videos of the SCAR SC out of Shot 2018 I did really want one. Now I'm not really so sure, but seeing a maybe civilian legal version has me thinking about it again. 7.5" is short and there have been issues with suppressing the larger SCARs, so I wonder if there would be problems with the SC. I did see articles mentioning that the Belgium police had SCs in 300blk, so that could be an evolution or at least a barrel swap option. I guess I'll keep an eye on this. Thanks OP.

SCAR SC is 21.1" with the stock collapsed, and 25.7" stock extended.
At 22.8" overall (+1.7" vs SCAR SC collapsed) you could have a 13" barrel Tavor X95 SBR for $1800. https://iwi.us/product/tavor-x95-sbr-5-56-nato/ In terms of weird and wonderful factory SBR's, the X95 13" makes more sense to me. |

The only time I shot one was side by side with a 11.5” SR-15 and I liked the KAC better in every way. The 17s on the other hand really brought a lot to the table that you couldn’t find in any other 7.62 at the time. |

I agree with you on the normal 16s being underwhelming. Even the 17s has been eclipsed by some ar10 stuff out there these. I do really like the 20s I have. And I still really want one of the SC. I have a collection going of the really short stuff so I might as well keep it going.

View Quote Surprised it took that long usually when stuff like that gets posted only at one retailer it is because they jumped the gun and posted it before agreed upon dates. But it does show that there is a part number generated and a price assigned. Which is a good thing. Now does that part number follow the format of other commercial guns or is it the format of Mil/Le only products? |

All that money for a loud range toy.
If I’m going to shoot a 22 caliber bullet at 2400 ft./s I’d rather just spend that money on an FN P90 SBR at that point Are there even any silencers at survive 7.5” 5.56? The fuq wasn’t this offered in .300blk? At least a 7.5” BLK makes some sense. |
