What is generally considered the narrowest endcap you can go with for a 9mm can on a fixed barrel host like a MP5 or AR9? .400"?

for direct thread, I usually go for around .06 over bore
for quick attach like a trilug, I usually up it to .1 over bore
.4 is a pretty tight window on a 9mm

Smallest legal bore size would be .36". Practical bore size, I wouldn't go tighter than .41.
We typically do 9mm at .415"
