I have a friend that is wanting a barrel threaded and I have one I might condsider getting done also . I was hoping someone could tell me if there is a shop in the Jacksonville area doing this work .

I dont think Gun Gallery is doing threading they sentthere barrels to Kurts down in Bushnell. I have friend at T&T downtown he told me he can thraed barrels . today I am dropping of my RRA 9mm and having a Phantom put on he is going to mill out the hole for it. I will post back when done, I hope he can do this because he might be the only gun smith in town to do it.

Gun Gallery can do lightweight contoured barrels, but nothing else that needs to be turned down before threading... sorry! I've installed more stocks in the last two weeks than I ever thought possible. Serious, if anyone needs some fixed stocks or full length buffers, springs or reciever extentions, please let me know. There is a HUGE pile of them in the corner or my work space. I dont know what to do with them all.

Tuna, let me know how your barrel goes, I would like to go someplace local with my barrels instead of sending them off. I have like 5 or 6 that need threading and/or perm attaching flash suppressors, if it goes well and they are interested, theres a ton more business we could send the guy. If not, you think he could do the 5 for me!

T&T Gun repair and Locksmith (Dale Tomlinson) is doing them I asked him about doing alot of them after the Ban end but he said only a few he has done. So the word is out now he can thread the barrels . Great guy too he is located off Highway Ave. 4810 is the ADD, #904-389-1394, he is backed up for about 2 weeks on my project . If you have the barrel threaded take only the stripped upper with no handguards, I had to take of my SIR when I was there. He has to charge you for his time if you dont.

Is he permanently fixing flash suppressors to 14.5" barrels too? This is good news if he does. I have a lot of barrels to do. I think Im up to like 7. I can provide all the suppressors and give him the barrels in whatever state he likes! I'll give him a call.

I'm not in the business as such, but I'll thread barrels for 35 bucks plus shipping (both ways) to Melbourne, FL. Have lathe, will thread!

Be sure to include your new muzzle device for check fitting.

that guy here local was a fair amount more than other places I've been quoted. If I had just one barrel, I probably would pay ofr the convenience, but with so many barrels, I will save quite a bit by sending them out.
