Luck has had little to do with SC's success so far. Pete Carroll worked the team hard in the pre-season, he's an excellent leader, and he's got some real talent on the team (even without Mike Williams and even though Matt Leinart's not been as effective as anticipated the last two games). If SC can get off to a quicker start again Saturday (as they did somewhat against Cal), they should (hopefully) be able to sustain another strong final half performance that finds them finishing well. They need to be a little quicker to respond. As we used to say, "Trojans bend, but they don't break."

Thanks, Carbine10! I know we're going to get taken down one of these days--I just hope it's not any time soon. It'd be really nice to have an undisputed national championship to brag about again.
