Personally, I would go with the Magcharger. It's a 5 cell rechargable that's the same length as a normal 3-D cell light. It is brighter many times over, and you will save money because you don't have to buy batteries.
Find it here at www.ondutygear.com Or here at lightmerchant.com I've owned one since 1990, since that time I've spend about $75 on two replacment batteries, and about $30 on replacement bulbs. I once had to mail it back to maglight to have the switch replaced. All totalled I got a little over 200 bucks in it, not bad for 14 years of service huh? In almost every case, rechargables are cheaper in the long run because the cost of batteries is almost erased from the equation.

Go for the 6 cell if you need the extra reach out and touch someone.The beam was better then most till they came out with the rechargable model only bad thing with that is dont set it next to anything that can melt while its on .

The extra D cell makes the difference between a concussion and a dented cracked egg of a skull. Go for the one that gives the biggest divot and extra yardage on the victim.
Switch it over to an LED lamp and the batteries will practically go bad of old age before you run them down, too. CJ |

I prefer the four cell for its...uhh...tactical applications.
If swung properly, it will break a knee cap. Dade County, Miami, Florida, Allapatah Avenue, Brown's Lounge, circa 1983 (or so). Still have the scar from the knife slash. Never get drunk and bring a knife to a MagLight fight. |
