Remember that June 15 is fathers day.  I don't know how many people would not go do to family functions that weekend.

I have vacation June 30-July 4 and was thinking about going up to Omak again during that time.  So I guess at this point I am undecides as to which weekend would be best.

I was hoping for June 7th, 14th, or 21st, but I have an idea why those dates are not included.

Either way, you folks who have not been to one of these shoots, I assure you it is a nice shooting spot and a great time!

Those that have been...  chime in and let them tally up the attendees :)

Well just start that as the NEXT one!  I could go shooting damned near every weekend.  We can do this once every other month, no prob.  Especially in the summer.

I'm chime in for June 28-29.  Are we going to go up Friday to set up (6-28)?  I'm in for that too if we do.

{must remember tannerite, glowsticks,propane, roadflares....}

I am in for late June. Its soon, I will probably have my rifle done, and school will be out.

I suppose if I really had my arm twisted I could go on the 28th and 29th of this month......ow, ow, OK I'll go for that one too. Are two votes allowed???
Link Posted: 5/24/2003 1:03:03 PM EDT

Ok, I voted.

I'll just be going down there for Saturday though, then coming back home that evening.
There would be room for one rider in my truck, if someone from up Seattle way is waffling on whether or not to go because they don't want to mkae the drive.

Boom Baby...6/28 and 29 would be great....for some underfolder sweetness.  The pit in Chehalis/PeEll is very nice and has distance up to about 396 feet.

Usually we meet at the park and ride off of I-5 in Chehalis and kind of convoy our way up to the pit.  It is kind of hard to find if you have never been there before.  Of course if you get lost I'm sure JAFO is willing to meet you for a beer in Raymond!

I cannot be there on Fathers Day but any other time would be fine.  If we end up picking that weekend (June 14-15) I would just have to come home on Saturday night or real early Sunday.

Yes but at this stage in the game there is no reason not to TRY to make it conveinient for at least as many shooters as possible!

besides, it just wouldn't be the same w/o you!

How about a few more votes? SCollins, you still around? DeepSeaSnakes, you back from Basic and AIT yet? Vader, you vote yet? 007? CavVet?

Let's say that the end of the day on TUESDAY the 3rd is the last day that counts for voting.
We can then start arranging times and specifics for a shoot. I hope that everyone will try and make this shoot. Myself, 2WP and various others loving getting together and we as a Washington shooting community SHOULD get together and celebrate our RKBA

Only one day left to decide.  Come on guys, we need some more feedback.  I don't just want this to turn into me and scrun and the West Seattle crew blowing crap up all day and getting drunk at night.  That would be just another weekend!

I just voted for the 28-29th weekend only to find out my wife works both days (an extreme rarity).  It seems I can never coordinate my schedule with your activities.  If there is another at the end of July, I'm in.

I'm in.  I can take someone if they need a ride.  Will probably go Friday night after work.  It's nice to spend the extra time setting things up and then partying Friday night as well.

Why does that mean you can't go?  When my wife is out of time working all weekend that just means I have to have twice as much fun (for me AND her)!

My wife and I are both in providing we can get a sitter.  Looks like I'll be spending the next few weeks loading ammo.

What's the format for this?  Distance?  Targets?  Any rules?
Link Posted: 6/4/2003 8:01:47 AM EDT

Format: Open shoot bring targets, cold range every 30 minutes or so.

Distance: I am not sure 2WP, Jafo?

Rules: Be safe, not shitty beer (unless your 2WP), everyone cleans up.

Just remember to take home anything that you bring.  That pit is SPOTLESS and we want to leave it that way!

Distance: I am not sure 2WP, Jafo?

The way we had it set up before gave us 100+ yards for rifle (120 I think) and 30 or so for handgun.

Rules: Be safe, not shitty beer (unless your 2WP), everyone cleans up.

It has been generally accepted in the past that no drinking will be done during the shoot.  There are too many of us running around and too much chance of a mis-hap.  While partying at night though we tend to break out some tannerite and propane bottles to shoot at with a little tracer fire.  This is a lot more controlled as there is only one person shooting and everyone else is waiting for the fireworks.
If anyone is worried about safety, just ask the participants of the last two shoots there.  It has been very, some would say too, safe.  Nobody wants to cause or be the subject of an accident!

Hopefully I'll have my rifle by then. Got my RRA M4 upper coming here Monday and just waiting for the Lower to come in stock and for the FFL too arive.  Chehalis looks a little far away but I'll see what I can do.

My wife wants to know if she'll be the only woman there.

What about logistics?  Food, water/beverages, toilet facilities?
I have a small portable gas grill, just large enough to feed 4-6 people.

I can also bring a CD player.  I hope you like country/western.

Do we need to bring our own target holders or are there objects we can hang the targets on?

So far it looks like it.  Da_Bunnys wife went last time and she was the only woman.  No problem.

Bring whatever you want with you.  There are no stores or restaurants real close and its a long way off the pavement to get to the pit.  Toilet facilities?  Bring a shovel!

I can also bring a CD player.  I hope you like country/western.

I'll bring my Metallica and AC/DC cds!

Do we need to bring our own target holders or are there objects we can hang the targets on?

It's just an empty old gravel pit.  Nohing except the wall of the pit and the ground to put targets on unless you bring them

Am I to assume that since JAFO is not on the list that he does not plan on attending?  I know you wanted a diff date but does this mean you can't go?  The metropolis of Raymond will declare this a day of mourning!

I would be interested if it was the later option in july that way I could save for it.
