Some of you may have seen this on the WA-Shooters list but I post this hear for those of you who are not members.

Congress goes back into session on Tuesday, 7 September. The
so-called "assault weapon" and full-capacity magazine bans sunset (expire)
at midnight (2400) on Monday , 13 September, 2004. Our "window of
risk" is extremely narrow, BUT IT STILL EXISTS. The messages quoted
below talk of a concerted effort on the part of individuals who want to see
the ban extended and expanded to push the Congress and the President
into passing such an extension/expansion.

NOW IS THE TIME to call, e-mail, fax or write your elected
officials (Representative and Senators) and urge them to resist such a
move.

Greetings All, MAJOR NUMBERS OF ORGANIZED "ANTI GUN" GROUPS
ACROSS AMERICA ARE TARGETING THIS THURSDAY TO FLOOD THE WHITE HOUSE

members now and very influential in the Jewish community, make no mistake,
its not just the Jewish Women Int'l league, they are only responding to
a request from others..the other two organizations have excellent
grass roots contituencies as well..see the website listed in the
forward..

We must 1) ELOQUENTLY and SUCCINCTLY respond to the originators
of this email forward with an articulate but differing opinion. And 2)
ring the bells off of the White House and your Congressman in support of
letting AWB fade away.

Why? We've got nothing to worry about. George Bush has pledged his eternal honor to make sure the AWB fails, right?

Right?

Oh, right.... quite the opposite.

Well, when you vote republican, you shouldnt' be surprised to get a gun grabber-- remember it was this guys father who started the "Assault Weapons" banning movement in this country when he banned the chinese AK.

There are four people running for president-- the democrat, the republican, the green and a libertarian.

Only one of them- the libertarian-- supports gun rights.

And of course, you're not going to vote for him, are you?

OF COURSE I'M NOT GOING TO VOTE FOR A GUY WHO HASN'T GOT A SNOWBALL'S CHANCE IN HELL OF WINNING ( and therefore won't be able to do anything about my concerns anyway! )...

Get the Republican incumbent re-elected and we'll go from there.

Call her on the 9th when the anti's are trying to call. You'll hold up the phone line at least for a few minutes. Then keep calling back. It doesn't even matter if you talk to her about the AWB. Have a list of issues to talk about, but only one per call.
