What brings you this side of the boards tonight?

Can't sleep.  Saw this thread and took a looksy.  And stewing on how envious I am of other states shall issue status and how much MD sucks.

And glad you escaped.  My tunnel has a few more miles to go.

M4,

Where are you in the state? I'm a certified instructor, and if I can't help you out, maybe I can find someone who can.

If you think $135 for class is too much, wait until you see the charges for the CBI background check.

I'm also an NRA instructor, providing classes in Idaho Springs.  Have two classes scheduled for this week.  $100.  If interested please send me an email.  [email protected]

That would be great!!

I am in Greeley/Evans but I love to drive so meeting you wouldnt be a problem.

How much do you charge?

To the general public its the standard $135... but for you, we make a special deal....... Maybe we need to see who else wants or needs one and we'll work out the details. In the meantime I'll check and see who I know up there.

I'd be interested in something up in N. Colorado. (Ft. Collins, here).

Ive been shooting since I was very young. My parents trust me with any gun I want as long as I pay for it. My dad was a gun smith and anything is fine with him. I love the ability to buy any weapon I want. I know that I am to young to get a CHL but it is still a firearms course. I am starting to ammas a small collection and any extra training or pratice possible I take. Right now I have the essential firearms 7mm mag for big game, 22-250 varmit, 2 shotguns one for hunting one for play, 22lr rifle dunno just for fun I guess, Browning buckmark pistol 22lr for fun and for varmit-sidearm, and my beloved AK. Next I am lookin to buy a AR15 since the AWB is dead and a lager pistol maybe a 1911. I dont think thats to bad for being 15.

I also live in Ft. Collins so a course in this area would be very nice. Price? We must bring our own pistol correct? (Its not a proplem we have plently around here.) Thanks

I am also the shooting sports director for our local boy scout council so teaching teens is not an issue. I do need parental permission and or a waiver of some kind for you to take the class. We can work it out.

So lets pick a place halfway between here and the Springs and do it. I'll need a "classroom" big enough for the class size, and then we need a range that can handle .22 pistols. You could do it all in one day if I hurry, and we don't have to go far to shoot.

The NRA Basic pistol class is ten hours long. There is a simple written test, and a range session required. On completion you get a certificate that meets all the state requirements for the permit. (Sorry at 15 you can't get a permit.)

I'll need two weeks to order in materials.

So somebody take charge of this and set it up. When you get eight to ten people will do it. And I'll do it cheap. (Although I may want some help with gas and such.) I'll check on the cost of supplies today. I'd rather not do more then 10 at a time. It just takes longer and is harder to get all the practical stuff done.

The alternative is you all come to the springs and use my classroom and my range. But it sounds like you'd rather me come to you. So we'll work it out.

Direct question to me at home:

+2 for me and my wife.  We need to have a Ft Collins AR15.com class followed by dinner and drinks!

I also need a class close to home. As close to ft collins as possible. If more people are needed I know some that are enterested. And if I take a complete this course does that mean in the future I can get a permit? Is a 22 pistol all that is nessasary?
