Read the Oklahoma Self Defense Act, there's a handbook there that should answer the do's and don't.

If I understand this correctly, I could not carry an FN 5.7 handgun because the ammo is too restrictive ?

If it’s teflon or similarly coated then no. That dates back to the “cop killer” bullet craze.
