Info update on South River Gun Club in Covington
Only the skeet/trap ranges are open to the public.  The pistol pits and rifle range are open only to members.  Membership is very reasonably priced @ $275/yr.  If anybody would like to go out and shoot at SRGC with me, your guest fee is only $10.

Camp Shooters is a private club.

We also have a range on Cohutta WMA on Grassy Mtn.  It has a 25 yd pistol and 100 yd rifle with covered benches.

I shoot at Wilson Shoals WMA, north way up 985.

In the Savannah area, the only range is the DNR range in Richmond Hill, in case any Savannah folks want to know.

Walker County Police Dept. has a range in Lafayette that's open to the public Monday through Saturday. It's on Shinbone Ridge Road and I'm pretty sure it's off of highway 193

You should add it to the list. I shoot there in the IPSC competition. I welcome anyone with a pistol larger than 9mm/38 special, a few mags, and a holster that covers the trigger guard to come down and shoot with us. Read the page for more information on when it is.

Shot at this range a few times with a couple of buddies that are still in the Go Fast business.  DANGEROUS RANGE.  While we were there last time we has a lady walk DOWN RANGE WHILE PEOPLE WERE FIRING to set her target up.  Immediate Cease Fire called.....Everyone was chomping on her butt.  Watched her and her hubby very closely after that...muzzles sweeping over everyone.  They left immediately after more was said.  

A few nitwits that hate Semi autos there...complaining about brass hitting them.   These are the same people that set at the bench AFTER others were already shooting to their left.  

Have seen too many dangerous situations at this range to recommend it.  I have heard that DNR is about ready to shut it down several times.

American Classic Marksman, previously mentioned, isn't too far from Alpharetta.  It's at Medlock Bridge and P'tree Industrial.  

There is a new indoor pistol range in Douglasville. The old Wolf Creek is now Tactical Concepts. Keith is doing all of this strictly our of pocket and would appreciate some local support.

Big Lazer WMA outside of Thomaston, GA.  DNR Range, eyes and ears required as well as a hunter safety card.  100 yd range, pretty nice, rather secluded actually.  It's out in the sticks, you really have to WANT to get there.

For those of you in the Savannah area, I was down that way last week,and I shot at an indoor range on that is about 30 minutes away from there.  It's on the way to Ridgeland, SC.  The name is Palmetto State Indoor Shooting Center.  It is off of Hwy. 170 I believe in the an industrial complex.  I think the name of the industrial complex is River Walk or something similar to that.   Check the NRA range listing page for them.  Keep in mind that unless you are a member of the range you have to buy your ammo from them.

Around Athens, there is the Firing Lane.  It's right besie Franklins.  It is an indoor range. They have a couple of bays where they allow rifles and such.  They have pistols for rent and full-auto stuff for rent.  Usully the staff is pretty nice there.

The Athens Rifle Club is a private club that is on 441N about 1.5 miles north of the GA 10 loop.  It has 2 skeet fields and a trap field, 50 yard pistol ranges (covered) and 150 yard rifle ranges (covered).  The shotgun stuff is open to the public on Sundays from 1400-1700.  I think it's $3 per round.  Members can take guest.  Anyone interested in membership info and such can contact me at [email protected] or IM me here.  If you email please put ARC or something in the subject line.

Me and 3 of my buddies at work are heading up to join the new Bullseye Marksman range in Cumming this Friday.   We work about 5 miles away and figure it would be cool to head to the range for lunch a few times each month.  They are giving us the Family/Group rate which is currently 10% off ... or $450 per year for the 4 of us.  For $112.50 each we get unlimited range time for the year and Head of Line priority ...

Bullseye Marksman in Cumming is a good place to shoot.  10 pistol lanes (I think) and two rifle lanes.  Ask for Doug or Jason and they will treat you right.
