I'm game if I can get away from the fatherly duties...........Not that I want a huge drive, but you think maybe somewhere mid-state would be better? Us guys up north seem to hog all the get-togethers......???

I'll pretty much be laid up from Aug 6 to Sept 20 so I don't really have any suggestions for the date.

I did want to point out though that there is a WA shoot/campout/pig roast/Saginaw Days incursion scheduled tentatively Sept 14-16 for anyone interested.

Also, 1GUNRUNNER has a non shooting, but river floating/UFC watching/NASCAR watching/Garlic Fest attending, type event planned at his place Aug 24-26. I'm sure he wouldn't mind OR HTF'ers showing up. Just tell him JAFO sent you.

That's me. I have to make a trip to Tacoma later this month. That will take my "vacation gas money" for the summer.
(Plus the fact I will be driving 100miles round trip, 4 days a week for the next two years; for school.)

I haven’t been to a HTF shoot since Bang was around, another one sounds like a lot of fun. Set the time and place and I’ll try to be there.

So, is this yer first "official" Moderator action?

I'd be interested, especially if I can plan ahead and get a weekend day off. I'll also try and get the skinny on the new pit I found down here in my neck of the woods as soon as I can, pics, coord's and ownership(I think it falls in BLM). This month is essentially screwed, I don't have another day off til the 24th, but maybe I'll boogie out there tomorrow after work.

NOOOOoooooooo!!

I may have some fresh stuff though, My dad is in Alaska fishing right now, for 10 days.  he doesnt even eat fish, but will bring everything back.  should have halibut and salmon.  Im also going to place a large order with my uncle I used to work with.  Longshore in Port Moller Alaska. 2nd best fish in AK, right behind copper river.  It'll be few hundred pounds, gotta pick it up in seattle.

I might be able to go.  I can bring some cheesecake and BPH I make some pretty wicked black bean burgers that are a helluva lot better than boca burgers.  Although they can be a little dangerous in the wee hours of the morning, at least to the wife anyway.

As for ammo, could make it a rimfire and bolt gun type thing too.  I would bring a few bricks or .22 if someone would donate a couple mags through a FA ciener in payment.  Also have a hoppes clay chucker mounted to a spare tire for some scatter gun fun.

Also I am heading out to timber tonight to do some scouting, so I can see if there are any areas that could be condusive to shooting.  so far, all of the quarries that I have seen are a bit small, or not so safe.

For me the rest of this month is booked solid as is August.  I'm thinking September before the weather changes.  Memaloose or BC is fine by me.

I did learn of a pumice pit outside of Prineville if people want to make it centrally located.  Ain't never been there but they tell me it's nice.

With my little ones in sports, Sunday's are always better than Saturdays.

9th is wife's b-day.  I missed our anniversary for a rifle class, I don't think I would survive if I missed her b-day for a shoot and eat.

any sunday works fo me, not at browns though it is to small and i dont think it is that safe,  seeing as there are tons of bikes riding everywhere and you might not be able to se them,  those trails go everywhere and the is a trail about 2000 ft behind the pit.   hate for a stray to take a life memaloose is my vote.

Buy her a gun that you've been wanting and bring her to shoot it. Problem solved.

You better be wearing your IIIA armor

Actually, I'm hoping to take her to the range tomorrow for her first time shooting, ever.  We'll see how it goes.

I still like the idea of a slightly more central location if anyone can suggest a place.

something more centralized can work for me as well.  Preferably the line is wide like memaloose.  its nice to have some elbow room.

otherwise id vote memalose and any sunday in september.
