I haven’t been up there in a couple of years. Some colleagues were asking where they can go to shoot some surplus AKs and I recommended the Pit. Google Fu has taught me that the DNR has worked it over and now it appears to be just like any other DNR Fuddlore range.

WTF?! Anyone got a line a similar place to the Pit of old?

Nothing south of Midland.

Actions of a few affect the many.

Too many idiots shooting at trash, leaving it behind, and generally not adhering to firearm safety rules ruined the pit.  Same thing happened up in Marquette.

It will continue to get worse, and I'm assuming we will lose the ability to target shoot on state land soon.
