My wife and I are debating a trip in October, I know the weather may be shit then but would it be worth it? It’s our 30 year anniversary and my dna is Wester Cash area I don’t know if I have any distant relatives still there but that’s just what got me interested in going to Scotland not entirely why.
I want to look for Nessie, ride the Jacobite and just look around, all the pics show a beautiful place.
Should we go?

To be fair, that's the forecast for the whole year.

Thanks for the info, I did want to see Scotland in the summer just for scenery and to easily be outdoors but this ain’t a trip I can take often. We still got two in school and that’s an ordeal to work around so I got to hear all the good and bad before I spend money and make arrangements for the kids

If it comes out it is soon hidden by the midges.
