Eric has discussed the possibility of a weekend on Nov 20-21. This is the weekend before Thanksgiving. We have lots of interest this time so let's go ahead and get the dates set.
Nov 20-21 Nov 27-28 Dec 4-5 These are just dates I pulled up. I believe that Eric will have last choice, But I want to see if anyone had any preferences. |

OK...TRG and Legs...sufficient? |

Either before or after Thanksgiving. The weekend immediately after Thanksgiving (27-28) is reserved for family....

We wouldn't be able to make the 27-28, but the other weekends look good for us.

Sounds like the Nov 20-21 is shaping up to be the real McCoy..... |

The Hun Farm is ETH's farm near Quanah, Tx. A great place with even greater people hanging out there. IM ETH for directions when the date is set. A weekend of camping and shooting... fullclip |

I'm in. Don't worry, so is Kate. Also bringing my best friend.
He's...interesting. Weekend after Turkey day is best for me, but whenever. |
Would it be alright if I could only make it for only one day?

I've been there one time, for about 18 hours, and I can't wait to go back. Any time spent at the Farm is time well-spent.

My 1,000 acre family farm that was purchased and settled by my Great Granddaddy Hun in 1885. It's located on the Southern bank of the Pease River approximately 9 miles Northwest of Crowell, Texas. There is a cabin located on a hill near the river that was built by my Aunt Wanda and me back in 1988. Since we've been going out there, the DFW Crew and others have contributed to making it a very spiffy place to hang out and shoot. And drink. And have fun. If you want to come out and are thinking 'What should I bring', let me tell you what I tell everyone who comes... Just imagine yourself traveling to the Far Western Frontier of Texas in 1885. What would you want to bring with you then? Some food (but that can be purchased in town), some sleeping equipment (tents, cots, bedrolls), some water, some weapons (optional), some ammo (optional), and a good attitude (required). I will guarantee you that you will have the most fun out of doors that you have ever had with your clothes on. Just get yourself a map of Texas and locate the town of Crowell in Foard County. It's the County Seat. In Crowell, State Hwy 6 and Hwy 70 intersect right at the Courthouse Square. From that intersection, drive 5 miles North on State Hwy 6 until you reach FM 3101 heading East towards Margaret. Instead of taking that blacktopped road East, turn Right onto CR 436 and head West down that gravel road approximately 3.5 miles until it deadends. At the deadend turn Right and head North for approx 1.5 miles until that road deadends as well. You will be right by the front gate of the Hun Farm. Take the well-traveled farm road for approx. 1.5 miles in a generally NorthNorth East direction, towards the Pease River. You can't miss the cabin! IM me if you need help with those directions! You should leave the Sony Play Station alone long enough to wash your face. |

Hey, zitface. Long time no hear. So are you planning to show up this time, man? Or you're hiding at home like a girly man. |
Hell, sounds like fun. I'm in, any date will work, but I'll probably only come out for a day. My two friends tell me I need to work on my social skills anyway.
My vote is for Nov 20-21. I look forward to seeing the many friends that congregate at the Hun Farm events.

I was thinking of hosting a chili cookoff the weekend of the 10th.
Might be even more fun to do the cookoff at the Hun Farm. The lack of facilities should make it interesting. TRG |
For you it would be Mr I'm allergic to all things with Cheyenne Pepper. Wouldn't it suck if that made it into everything to eat at the Hun farm. |
Well, the possible preliminary schedule has me working Saturdays again... but I'm gonna try to get that changed. I'm out of vacation, so I might get fuct out of being able to make it. I'll definitely try to come out if there's a Hun Farm Spring event. I'll have mucho vacation, and not much planned to burn it up!

Actually, I believe that Cheyenne Pepper was the name of a lovely topless dancer that I once went home with....post divorce, of course!

Wow, this sounds like my kind of fun. Is everyone invited if they meet the equipment/attitude requirements?
Either way, I'll have to take a raincheck on this one -- brand new baby in the house, so I doubt the wife will let the leash out that far for a few months. But if this is a semi-regular event, I might be interested. 1000 acres in West Texas... what kind of shot distances can you muster up out there? I'd be thrilled at the chance to shoot my bolt gun at extended distances. Thanks, SC |

Aim straight up. FWIW, if you use tracers, the brush fires help you spot your shots. TRG PS. Lumpy, if you read this, I still have your signature series toolbox in my truck. Everytime it rains, I think of you. |

One cannot simply be told.... what the Hun farm is..... one has to see it, for one's self. |
One cannot simply be excommunicated.....from the Hun Farm....one has to just arrive, with one's self. |
TRG, thanks for the tip. i never realized I could shoot long range without leaving my backyard. There are more houses than brush in my neighborhood, but they make better smoke. -SC |

FALARAK, thanks for posting the video...I just wet my undies.
Kate and I are definitely in. Probably my buddy, too. |

I swear that was the first time that I saw that video, as well! Way to go, FALARAK! That was mighty awesome, indeed!
