Don Ross is his name....Called me on the phone, sold me a Sig 239 with3 std mags, and 7 -10 rd'ers, 3 sets of grips and a Don Hume Holster,thru in a set of wood grips if I used PayPal, I did........he responded to a few e-mails after that, claimed health problems, and now has dropped off the map....Need help locating him in Alvord, TX to get my $540 back..PayPal did a resoulution, and got me a whopping $6 out of his acct.......say by law they cannot withdraw from his linked accts........they are worthless, and never getting anymore of my business
Any help out there for a Brother in NC, AFAAM out there in TX?

Thanx AWSAR I think I will see what the others guyz are going to find out before I call them, but that could be a Plan "B"

Alvord if memory serves me right is served by Wise County Sheriff's Office, and if you got scammed, and make a report on your end, then they may go check him out. Small agency, but pretty good folks. Let me know if that helps. I will make some calls and see if my contacts over there know him.

I get Alvord and Alvarado confused, but whatever county its in, you need to contact that county's Sheriffs Office. If this is in Wise County, than I totally have faith in them, as I know some of them, and they are top notch people.

Also, when you do call, ask to speak with the actual Sheriff. It always helps to talk to the boss.

That name is a very familiar one to those of us that have
hung out on this site for years. A lot of folks here know
a guy by that name, in that general area of Texas.

I don't know if it is the same guy or not. But if it is, I for
one would have a hard time believing he is scamming
anyone.

I'd suggest giving this thread a day or two to get noticed.

I certainly found where he lives (and didn't speak to him when I was there), but I won't be headed back that way for a while. Alvord is a heck of a long way from where I live, and the only reason I get my haircut there is because my barber closed his business (which was two minutes from me), and opened a place where he lives-in Alvord. However, Mr. Ross now has a printed copy of the beginning of this thread, so he's well aware of what's taking place at ARFCOM, and how he's being discussed. I would think a follow-up phone call is in order at this point, or an email if that's available.

Can't say that I am suprised by his this. DonR is pure white trash.
All we have to do is remember his past. He's a no good drunk bastard
who stabs his firends in the back any chance he gets. People gave him money when
he was hard up and he spent it on booze. Friends tried to help him out by loaning him
money against his m16 as collateral, he tried to sell it with out paying them back.
And these people were considered close friends. I bought a bunch of AK parts from
him to help him out and he pointed a gun at my gut with his wife and kids in the car.
He was joking around when he did it but just goes to show what a fucking moron he is.
Hopefully the asshole will die soon and they can read this thread at his funeral
and remember his true character.

Its a longshot, but in my railroad group there is a Don Ross. I know he is around the D/FW area, I wonder if its him.

Anyways, if you havent already contacted the local police chief and county sheriff, do so now, the more you wait, the worse. I also wouldnt hesitate to call in da feds. FBI, ATF have field offices here in Dallas.
